Huge day for me personally today. ❤️
Today, my youngest, Millie, is sitting her final A Level exam.
My eldest, Grace, is now 21, and with Millie finishing school at 18, this marks the end of around 18 years of school runs. Nearly 7,000 journeys to and from nurseries, schools, sports clubs, school plays, parents' evenings, concerts, and everything in between.
I've loved every single one of them.
She might be 18, but she still needed her Mam this morning. So before her exam, we sat together and had dippy eggs, just like we always have. Those little moments never stop being important.
As I reflect on this milestone, I have Little Movers to thank.
Building this business has given me something far more valuable than financial success. It has given me the freedom to be present. To do the school runs. To be there at the school gates. To watch the assemblies, attend the sports days, celebrate the achievements, and help pick up the pieces when things didn't quite go to plan.
It allowed me to be the Mam I wanted to be.
What's particularly special is where Millie's journey is heading next.
She has studied Maths and Sciences at A Level, but just a few months ago she made a brave decision. She realised her heart belonged somewhere else and decided to take a chance on herself.
This September, she'll be heading to Italia Conti in London to train in musical theatre and pursue her dream of performing in the West End.
And as proud as I am of her talent, I'm even prouder of her courage.
Because life doesn't have to be lived in a straight line.
You don't have to follow the path everyone expects you to take. You don't have to stay on a road that no longer feels right. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is change direction and follow what makes you truly happy.
I hope both Grace and Millie have learned that from watching me build Little Movers that success isn't about following a prescribed route, it's about creating a life that makes you happy.
Today feels like the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
So if there's one thing I'd leave you with, it's this:
Choose happy. Every single time. ❤️
