On Wednesday our Year 8 leavers delivered their last ever class assembly with us. It was emotional, reflective and full of humour as the boys got together for their reunion as adults as they shared careers, memories of TPS and all they had learnt here. We wish them all the best as they take the next steps to their new schools. Don’t be strangers - come back and see us!

There was plenty of laughter, confusion and mischief as our Year 5 pupils took part in A Midsummer Night’s Dream workshop led by West End in Schools. Exploring Shakespeare through performance, the children stepped into the shoes of quarrelling fairies, bewildered lovers and a certain mischievous sprite, bringing the play’s characters, plot and historical context to life. Thank you for the fabulous sessions

Yesterday saw the culmination of many weeks of hard work by our Year 6s as they delivered their Enterprise Fair. 👏
Based on the ‘Fiver Challenge’ the teams were given a £5 investment to buy raw materials to create products and games to sell, encouraging them to think creatively and sustainably while developing their communication, problem solving and collaboration skills. 😊🌈🍰🍬
The afternoon was a great success with the Prep pupils visiting the stalls and enjoying all the fun including Soak the Teacher! Or the Dad!
Congratulations Year 6 - all the stalls looked amazing! The profits have yet to be counted and will be donated to a chosen charity - to be announced

Over the last 2 weeks the Raising Resilience team have been running their Bounce sessions with Years 3-6 encouraging the pupils to think about how they can fill up their celebration jar with positive experiences and feelings. For Year 6 an opportunity to reflect on all they have learnt and how they will use the skills as they move through to the next stage of their education, remembering they have inner strength and some great strategies to draw upon raisingresilience

Last week Year 5 were immersed in the culture, tastes, smells and sounds of South Africa as they enjoyed workshops creating animal posters and djembe drumming sessions. Miss Cassiano then rustled up a delicious lunch including Mielies, Bunny Chow and Boerewors followed by Koeksisters and Melkterts. It was a fabulous day! Thank you to Mrs Kidson, Mrs Lintin and Miss Cassiano 🇿🇦👏

A brilliant showcase of the progress Year 3 have made with their string instruments, taught by Mrs Ritchie. It was fabulous to see the whole year group perform after just under a year of learning. Thank you to Mrs Ritchie, Miss Barnes and Mrs Barnes for overseeing the arrangements to make the event such a success!
