The Autumnal feel in the air is gorgeous and the colours of Harpershill Wood are just divine. We are so incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful wild space for Forest School.

We are all about expressing our inner ‘wild child’ here at Tree Trunks. Our Forest School site in the glorious Harpershill Wood, Horsleys Green gives our Trunketeers a safe place to explore, investigate and discover!

Our Trunketeers were in full investigation mode on Saturday!
We found Woodlice carrying babies and questions followed “How many babies do Woodlice have?” “What do you call girl and boy Woodlice?”

Mud, mud and MORE mud! Our Saturday crew loved getting stuck into the mud pit this morning.
Our Trunketeers loved using the microscope with Simon. Questions, exploration and new discoveries followed!

On Thursday we welcomed year 6 from Ibstone school. The children, along with Mrs Long, were a delight and team work was abundant! A session packed full of bird, bat and bug box/hotel making, ropes and swings, mud kitchen fun and of course campfire lighting, and cooking! Thank you Ibstone CE Primary School it was a pleasure 🌳❤️🎉

The forest was alive with laughter and play!
Painting fairy sticks, Mud pit and kitchen , Fire lighting lesson, and Replanting and textures filled our Saturday session. 🧚♀️❤️🔥🌱

We’ve been a bit quiet lately just enjoying being in the moment with our Trunketeers.
Last Saturday’s session was filled with flower powers and LOTS of mud! Witches brew and rope swing magic - perfect Saturday morning activities.
We’ve got lots going on over the summer holidays from 3 day Eco Camp to Our Saturday Forest School. We don’t follow term dates, we follow the seasons!

Our Saturday session was full of ‘wild ones’.
Biscuit munching, hot chocolate drinking, fire starting wild ones!

What a sun filled, adventure having, Tree Trunks few days we’ve had!
Our Sprigs and Sprogs session saw us in the mud kitchen making bubbly bowls and relaxing in the hammock.
Home Ed Explorers planted wild flower pots and enjoyed exploring in the meadow - it was such a calm and relaxed atmosphere!
Our Saturday Trunketeers ran straight to the climbing tree, planted wild flower seeds pots and enjoyed campfire snacks.

The sun is shining, HURRAY 🎉 We love the sunshine here at Tree Trunks, it gives us happy positive vibes.
Our Saturday Trunketeers decided an adventure was needed, so we gathered our clip boards, magnifying glasses and our knowledgeable Ecologist, Simon for a morning ramble in harpershill meadow.

What a bank holiday weekend!
Friday’s sessions were fab! We welcomed our youngest EVER Explorers to Sprigs and Sprogs and the mud kitchen was a winner!
Our Home Ed Explorers enjoyed free exploration, tool work (making marshmallow sticks and wooden spoons) as well as some healthy completion in the way of Tug-of-War. A well deserved bowl of soup and roll around the campfire rounded things off.
Saturday Forest School saw some new challenges, risk taking and ingenious slide making. Our youngest Trunketeer challenged himself to climbing and jumper from a large tree trunk! Mission accomplished as he DID IT! 🎉💕🌳
