We are expanding our Speech and Language provision within school and are holding more Attention Autism sessions. Attention Autism is a programme created to gain, build and maintain shared attention, improve listening and turn taking skills as well as communication. These sessions are usually run as a group but can also be done individually. Throughout these sessions a number of small, usually bright and/or noisy, toys are used in order to draw and hold attention.
While we have a few suitable items in school we would always welcome more and would be extremely grateful if you have any unwanted toys that you would be willing to donate to us for this purpose.
If you do not have anything suitable for donation but would still like to help, we have created an Amazon Wishlist with some items that would be useful: https://amzn.eu/hKjFs9j
Any donations will be gratefully received.

We’re looking for new school Management Committee members! Are you able to attend meetings twice a term with other, like-minded people who care about our school? If you are then please consider applying!

Strategic planning
Experience on a board
Holding senior leaders to account
Finance and maintaining oversight of a school budget
Human resources and performance management
Communication and teamwork
Decision making
The work of the Management Committee makes a huge difference to the young people at our school and your contribution could be part of it. By joining our school you will be part of around 210,000 people involved in governance in England and you will receive substantial training as well as gaining insight and knowledge of the workings of a highly specialised setting like Kite Ridge School.
