Al-Miqdād ibn al-Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) say: ”On the Day of Judgment, the sun will be brought close to the people until it is only a Mīl away from them.” Sulaym ibn ‘Ᾱmir said: By Allah, I do not know what he meant by “mīl”. Is it the distance of the earth, or the “mīl” used as kohl for the eyes? He said: “People will be in sweat according to their deeds. Some will be up to their ankles, some up to their knees, some up to their waist, while others will be bridled by sweat.” He said: And the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) pointed with his hand to his mouth. Some people see the Kaaba… and take selfies.
Others see it… and their hearts break.
Same place.
Different reactions. Different hearts.
Umrah isn’t about being there.
Its about:
- Presence of heart
- Humility
- Turning back to Allah
- Determination to improve
- Erasing sins
If your heart isn’t engaged, you’re just moving in circles. Worshipping but not really worshipping.
Don’t aim to visit the Kaaba.
Aim to be changed by it.
“What if your next Umrah wasn’t just a trip… but a turning point?”
Not rushed.
Not just ticking a box.
But a journey where you:
• Reconnect with the Qur’an
• Experience Makkah & Madinah with purpose
• Come back… different
I’ve been thinking about organising something very different to the typical Umrah package.
Smaller group.
More personal.
Qur’an-centred experience.
Still early stages… but I wanted to ask:
👉 If this was done properly — would you be interested?

*Revising old knowledge or learning new?*
The example of the one who seeks new knowledge be it from memorising more Surahs of the Quran or any other new knowledge whilst neglecting what he already has of knowledge by not revising it…
is like the one who finds diamonds in his path and puts them in his pocket but the pocket has a hole.
Would he acquire the diamonds in the end?
Likewise you won’t acquire beneficial knowledge if you don’t perfect and revise that which you have already learnt.

“With difficulty comes ease”
Remember the start of any journey is the hardest part.
When you first move to a new house it’s challenging to adjust. Or to a new country even more so challenging to adjust. Or starting a new job - it’s hard at first. Or beginning to learn and memorise the Quran - it’s no different - it’s hard at first…
…but rest assured, Allah told us that “certainly with difficulty comes ease” then he repeated it for emphasis and also as some scholars mention, that with each difficulty comes 2 points of ease!
So just get started! Take that leap. And soon it will be a piece of cake in sha Allah.
