Incredible Me is coming to Downley!

A new course of Incredible Me (KS2), well-being and empowerment for children, will be starting on Friday September 25th at the Downley Community Centre. This specific course is aimed at children between the ages of 7 and 11.

The Incredible Me program has been specifically designed to support children, young people and the adults in their lives through developing: self-esteem, communication skills, confidence, resilience, empowerment and skills for self-regulation. Aside from developing key skills to support well-being throughout life, Incredible Me empowers children to understand and meet their potential as learners:
Incredible Me sessions offer your child the opportunity to:
-Build new friendships
-Develop valuable communication skills
-Learn cutting edge relaxation tools and techniques
-Experience hands-on fun, and creative wellbeing activities
-Share thoughts and feelings in a safe and friendly environment.

Each course, with a maximum group size of 8, consists of 12 one hour sessions. The course is the culmination of 21 years of best practice in the fields of emotional well-being and empowerment for children, young people and the adults in their lives.

Course creators and facilitators:

Toni Brodelle: An educator with 21 years of experience of working with children, young people and adults across all ages, ability and level of additional needs. She is passionate about empowering children, young people and adults in their lives to become happy, healthy and engaged global citizens. She is a certified facilitator of the Yoga for Schools program for children and is the creator of the Incredible Me approach to well-being and empowerment.

Tom Baskerville: as an education specialist, Headteacher and SENCO, Tom has a reputation for developing successful, values-driven schools with inclusion, well-being, community and the development of the unique gifts of each child at their core.
Tom is highly experienced in training people of all ages and backgrounds in all aspects of well-being, safeguarding and first aid.

Course duration: 12 weeks
Dates: Every Friday from 25th September - 18th December (excl half-term)
Time: 5pm - 6pm
Venue: Downley Community Centre HP13 5TR
Cost: £180 for all 12 sessions (£15 per week) inclusive of all materials
