They have identified that early support is crucial to prevent escalation of needs and to ensure children and young people reach their potential.

This is a great step towards better understanding and a more inclusive system.

The students had fun today using the magnetic and sandpaper letters to learn some new spelling rules.

Teaching children with dyslexia the rules of language has been proven to support their spelling. These children are now confident choosing whether to use a “ck” or “k” 👊

We received a thank you card from a child today saying “thank you for playing games with me”. We believe education should always be fun and we are so glad to have helped this boy see it as a game.

Today’s creation in Block Club 🧱

We use Lego® based therapy with a range of children to enhance social communication and language skills.

Children work in groups, taking on different roles in the construction process. The engineer gives instructions on the pieces required and how to fit them together, the supplier finds the correct pieces and the builder puts the model together.

After just a few sessions, these children are asking each other questions to clarify instructions and encouraging each other with the build. What fantastic progress. It helps that the adults enjoy it too!

This is the kind of progress a child can make when they have the right support.

This girl was unable to recognise or write individual sounds a few weeks ago. Breaking the words down and focusing on how sounds go together has enabled her to read and spell whole words correctly. We are so proud of your progress.
