Yesterday was World Ocean Day. This week we have been exploring the importance of protecting our oceans and learned how everyone can help keep our seas clean and safe for marine life. The children enjoyed learning about different sea animals, from colourful fish and playful dolphins to amazing turtles and octopuses. πŸ¬πŸ™πŸ’

Our young artists created beautiful ocean-themed paintings, bringing the underwater world to life with bright colours and imagination. πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒοΈ

There was also lots of excitement during our water play activities, where the children developed their sensory and fine motor skills while having plenty of fun! πŸ’¦πŸ˜Š

Together, we are learning to care for our planet and the wonderful creatures that call the ocean home. πŸŒπŸ’™

The children in the Ducklings room have enjoyed exploring our bee-themed sensory rice tray, using scoops, bowls, and tweezers to carefully collect and move the rice. This helped to develop their hand-eye coordination and strengthen their fine motor skills. 🐝✨

We also got creative with printing activities, using cardboard tubes and bright yellow paint to create beautiful bee-inspired patterns and artwork. The children loved experimenting with different marks and textures while expressing their creativity. 🎨🐝

Throughout this week the children are celebrating Bee Day while learning all about the important role bees play in our world. We are exploring lots of fun, hands-on activities throughout the week and the children were excited to discover how bees make honey and help flowers grow. 🌸🍯

In the Owls room the children enjoyed exploring our sensory rice tray, searching carefully and developing their fine motor skills using tweezers. They also got creative by painting bee paper plates and making their own little bees using playdough. 🐝🎨

The children were full of excitement as they made pretend honey together, and used their imaginations during play. It was lovely to see everyone so engaged, curious, and creative while learning through play. πŸ’›βœ¨

What a fantastic day we had at Odds Farm! πŸ„πŸ‘πŸšœ

The children had so much fun watching a cow being milked, feeding the sheep and goats, and enjoying a tractor ride around the farm. We all sat together for our packed lunch before heading off for even more adventures! πŸ₯ͺ🌞

There were lots of smiles in the play area and soft play, splashing around in the splash zone, and riding on the trucks. It was a day full of laughter, excitement, and wonderful memories for everyone! πŸ’¦πŸ›βœ¨

Thank you to all our staff and parents for helping make the trip such a special experience! ❀️
