🌟Duckling update🌟

A few families have asked for an update on our ducklings. They have grown a lot since they left us, and have now developed adult feathers which means they can venture outside into the field without the need of a heat lamp. They have now joined the other ducklings that hatched at the same time as them and are enjoying sitting together soaking up the sunshine.

Yesterday our Over 2's went on an adventure to the local park!🌳☀️ During our walk, the children enjoyed exploring the world around them, using their senses to describe what they could see and hear. At the park, the children had lots of fun playing and exploring freely, taking on new challenges. They practiced climbing, balancing, running and jumping, building confidence as they tested their physical abilities.🌼🙂

🌻Growing our Sunflowers🌻

The children have all taken turns to plant their very own sunflower in our Garden Enhancement area. Throughout the next few weeks they will be learning about how to nurture our plants, helping to water them and eventually watching them grow into wonderful sunflowers. Make sure you pop into the garden to have a look at how they are getting on.

🦆This week, our over 2's have been caring for the ducklings. They have shown growing confidence in holding and stroking them, describing how they look and feel. We spoke about the importance of being gentle with animals and ensured that we used kind hands whilst handling them. We also encouraged conversation around the different things that the ducklings need in order to grow and thrive and discussed how we can help to care for them 🦆
