Last week, we learned about The Gruffalo. We learnt the Gruffalo song during circle time as well as reading the story. We explored a woodland tuff tray, retelling parts of the story and in the afternoon, we went to the 'lake'. The children enjoyed splashing each other! We have painted Gruffalo pictures, focusing on the colours we can see. We have also completed a Gruffalo hunt in the garden. The children were very excited when they found the animals hiding!

This week we have focused on one of our favourite book, Stickman. We started the week by watching some small clips of the BBC Film, then went for a hunt in the garden for our very own Stickman. The children have also made stickman playdough which they used their sticks from the garden to explore, painted their own stickman and explored a seasonal stickman tuff tray. The older children have also been using Stickman to help them practise their counting.
