Last year, Maria and Radha (UVI) were awarded the Sir Adrian Swire Flying Scholarship, giving them the opportunity to experience flight first-hand and pursue something far beyond the classroom.
Funded by the Adrian Swire Charitable Trust, the programme supports pupils on the path to solo flight, a challenge both embraced with confidence.
For Maria, the experience brought physics to life, while for Radha, it affirmed her ambition to pursue a Private Pilot Licence.
Congratulations to them both!

Last week, pupils took part in a two-day GCSE Geography fieldtrip based at Juniper Hall Field Studies Centre, exploring both urban and river environments as part of their exam course.
On the first day, pupils investigated urban change in Guildford, before carrying out river fieldwork in the River Tillingbourne on day two, examining downstream changes such as velocity and sediment size.
Despite wet conditions, pupils showed excellent engagement and teamwork, developing key fieldwork and enquiry skills essential for their GCSE Geography exams.
