This afternoon, children have enjoyed a huge water fight on the playground, to cool off! 🔫💦☀️😊

Year 5 and 6 enjoyed their trip to Tamworth Snowdome yesterday, and what a perfect week it was to visit! 🥵

Children (and adults!) enjoyed playing in the snow park, as well as time on the ice-skating rink! We hope everyone had a fantastic time. 😊⛸️☃️

During transition sessions in their new classrooms, children have been enjoying painting and decorating rocks, with beautiful colours and positive messages! 🎨🖌️💭

These stones will be a new, positivity feature in our outdoor provision! 🌳

❗Summer Fair - Now on Friday 3rd July❗

Due to the rising temperatures this week, we have made the decision to move our Summer Fair to next Friday, 3rd July, when it is due to be cooler.☀️

This is to keep our staff, children, and visitors, comfortable and safe.

Last week, we had bees 🐝, and today, we have had a little hedgehog visitor at Danemill! 🦔

Our lovely Mrs Fretter spotted this little one scuttling around today in the heat, so made the decision to call a hedgehog rescue centre for advice.

Digby's Hedgehog Rescue have now kindly taken her in, and have named her ‘Danielle from Danemill’. 🥰🥺

She has recieved a check up and will be fed until she weighs over 600g, until she can then be released back in to Enderby! 🦔🍃

Year 5 enjoyed some outdoor learning in the shade under the Sycamore tree this morning, before the temperatures rose!🌳🌤️

Inspired by our class reading book, Kensuke's Kingdom, children used their creativity to design brand-new front covers for the story, based on what we have read so far! They created some fantastic and imaginative artwork. 📚🖍️

☀️ Hot Weather Reminder ☀️

With warm weather expected from tomorrow, please help us to keep children safe and comfortable by ensuring that they:

💧 Bring a refillable water bottle
🧴 Have sun cream applied before school
🧢 Bring a sun hat or cap

Children may wear their PE kit (their house-coloured t-shirt and PE shorts) or PE shorts with a white school t-shirt throughout the week to stay cool.

⚠️ Please do not send electric fans into school, for health and safety reasons.

🏃 Sports Day Update: A decision on whether Sports Day can go ahead will be made on Tuesday morning, depending on weather conditions.
