🌍 Earth Day falls on 22nd April and nurseries are brilliant places to start teaching children about the natural world.

Growing vegetables, bug hunts, recycling stations and water play all help children connect with the environment around them. These activities build curiosity and responsibility from an early age.

Your setting can also think about sustainability in practice. Reducing waste, choosing eco-friendly resources and spending more time outdoors are all steps in the right direction.

New Government guidance on screen time for under-fives advises children under the age of two only use screens for shared activities, while two-to-five-year-olds should be limited to no more than one hour of screen time a day.
