We’re Almost a Certified Safer School!
We need your help!!
We’re delighted to share that our school is now among the top percentage of schools working towards Certified Safer School Status through the Safer Schools NI programme!
This achievement recognises schools where staff, pupils and parents work together to create a safer online environment for children and young people.
We’re incredibly close to reaching the finish line, but we need the support of a few more parents and carers to complete the Digital Proficiency Course before the end of the school year.
✅ Takes around 20 minutes
✅ Video-based and easy to follow
✅ Covers online safety, AI, parental controls, age restrictions, cyber security and more
✅ Includes a certificate of completion
Every completed course helps move us one step closer to becoming a Certified Safer School.
If you haven't already done so, please log in to the Safer Schools NI app and complete the course.
Together, we can achieve this important milestone and continue building a safer digital world for our young people.
Thank you for your continued support.

A huge congratulations to Archie, Rachel, Sam and Thomas, who recently travelled to Manchester to represent Wallace High School and Northern Ireland at the 2026 UKMT Team Maths Challenge National Finals, held at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel.
Having secured their place by winning the Northern Ireland Regional Final, the team competed against some of the top young mathematicians from across the UK.
Special recognition must also go to Abby, who was part of the regional final winning team. Unfortunately, she unable to participate in the finals due to suffering an injury, but in a remarkable last-minute turnaround, Sam stepped in after some speedy airport training to take her place!
We are incredibly proud of the team’s achievement and the way they represented the school on the national stage.
Well done to all involved!

We regret to inform parents and carers of our incoming Year 8 pupils that this afternoon's Induction Event has been postponed due to the current situation in the local community and the potential for significant travel disruption.
We were very much looking forward to welcoming our new pupils and their families; however, the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved must come first.
We will be in touch shortly with updated arrangements and look forward to welcoming you to the school at a later date.
Thank you for your understanding.
