Skills needed:
📍Understand units (1000 g = 1 kg; 250 g is a quarter of 1 kg)
📍 Division and multiplication
📍 Working with money (pence, not pounds; write 84p not £0.84)
📍 Checking your answer (does it make sense? 250 g < 1 kg so cost should be less than 84p)

Parents — a quick clarification about SEAG “past papers” 📝
We’ve had a few emails this week asking whether SEAG PAST papers can be bought. To be clear: SEAG do NOT publish PAST papers — they don’t exist. GL Assessment (the test provider) also do not release previous years’ papers, so you will never be able to view official past tests.

What does exist?
SEAG have produced 2 SAMPLE papers (plus 2 Irish medium sample papers) — available on their site: https://seagni.co.uk/guidance-for-parents/resources. (Tip: my advice is to take a look at these but don't let your child do them yet — most schools use them nearer the test.)

Independent companies like ours create SEAG-style PRACTICE papers based on the official SEAG curriculum and the sample papers. We update our papers yearly using feedback from the previous year's tests, pupils, parents and teachers to keep them relevant and useful.

This means anyone who would like their child to sit 2 mock tests can now book a second test. We recommend you do this on two separate dates. Please do not book more than 2 tests. We only have 2 papers available.

On Target SEAG Test 2026.
📣To help combat nerves, On Target Tuition is offering parents a mock Transfer Test.
We will provide:
☑An unseen, specially written paper which will test your child’s ability in the SEAG Transfer Test curriculum.
☑Detailed feedback on their performance. This includes a list of topics that your child needs to practise before sitting the real test.
We will suggest any techniques that may help and highlight any bad habits.
☑The test paper will be posted to you, so you can go over any mistakes with your child.
☑We will recreate the feel of the actual test. This will give your child a realistic idea of what it will be like, including getting them used to listening and carrying out the instructions of the invigilator.
☑We hope that the experience will put them at ease and mean that they approach the Transfer Tests confident and relaxed.
