Tes Schools Awards 2026 winners announced This year’s awards, celebrating excellence and innovation across the sector, attracted a record number of nominations

🌷 Meadow Primary School Celebrates Rotary Competition Success! 🌷

We are delighted to share that Meadow Primary School has been awarded 2nd Prize in the Rotary Club of Ellesmere Port’s End Polio Now – Purple Crocus Project competition, receiving a prize of £100.

This fantastic project helps children learn about the global effort to eradicate polio while taking part in the planting of beautiful purple crocus corms. It is always wonderful to see our pupils engaging with activities that connect learning, community action and global citizenship.

A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Ellesmere Port for organising this worthwhile initiative and for their continued support of local schools. We are incredibly proud of our pupils for their enthusiasm and involvement.

Congratulations also to St Saviour’s Junior School on winning 1st prize and Brookside Junior School on achieving 3rd place.

We look forward to taking part again this autumn and seeing another colourful display of crocuses bloom next spring! 🌱💜

We are incredibly proud to announce that Bidston Avenue Primary School has been awarded the School Games Platinum Mark for the (not first, second, but) SIXTH time.
This national recognition celebrates our commitment to providing high-quality physical education, competitive sport and active opportunities for all children.
Sport plays a huge part in life at Bidston Avenue. From competitions and festivals to clubs, leadership opportunities and daily physical activity, we believe every child should have the chance to participate, develop confidence, learn teamwork and experience success.
Achieving Platinum status once is a fantastic achievement. Retaining it for a sixth time reflects the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils and the ongoing support of our families and wider community.

⚽🏆 TPLT Trust Football Tournament 2026 🏆⚽

What a fantastic day at our second annual TPLT Trust Football Tournament, hosted at Vauxhall Motors FC.

A huge thank you to our Everton Football College students and staff, who organised, refereed and supported the event throughout the day. They were outstanding ambassadors and played a major role in making the tournament such a success.

It was brilliant to see pupils from across our Trust coming together to compete, represent their schools with pride and enjoy the spirit of the game. We were also delighted to welcome our friends from Clwyd Primary School in Swansea, who joined us once again for this growing annual event.

Congratulations to our new champions, Meadow Primary School, who were crowned winners after defeating last year’s champions, Oldfield Primary School in a fantastic final.

A special mention too for Bidston Avenue Primary School ‘s younger team, who secured an impressive third-place finish against strong competition.

More importantly than the results, the day was a wonderful celebration of teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience and friendship. It was fantastic to see children encouraging one another, making new connections and creating memories that will last long after the final whistle.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible. We are already looking forward to next year’s tournament! ⚽👏🏆
