Did you know? ⚽
Players at the FIFA World Cup 2026 could run over 10 km in a single match! That’s almost a quarter of a marathon!
Football is full of maths, from measuring distances and speeds to analysing scores and statistics and league tables. Sport is a brilliant way to show children how maths is used in the real world every day.

Here's a brilliant little trick to help your child remember the planets in order of distance from the Sun.
My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming Planets
Mercury - Venus - Earth - Mars - Jupiter - Saturn - Uranus - Neptune
Mnemonics are a fantastic way to make tricky facts stick - and at First Class Learning, we love giving children tools like this to become confident, motivated and independent learners.
Try it tonight and see if your child can still remember the order in the morning! ⭐

Is your child moving up to secondary school in September? 🎒
It’s an exciting time - but it can feel daunting too. New teachers, new subjects, a whole new environment. The children who thrive are often the ones who arrive feeling prepared and confident in their core skills.
At First Class Learning, we help children become confident, motivated and independent learners - ready to hit the ground running from day one.
There’s still time to give them that extra boost before September. 💙

Exams coming up? Let’s keep revision simple and effective 👇
1. Break it down
Don’t try to revise everything at once. Split topics into small, manageable chunks and tackle one at a time. Progress feels easier (and less overwhelming).
2. Test, don’t just read
Reading notes isn’t enough. Use past papers, flashcards, or quick quizzes. Actively testing what you know is one of the fastest ways to improve memory.
3. Keep it consistent
Short, regular revision sessions beat last-minute cramming every time. Even 20–30 minutes a day builds confidence and reduces stress.
Small steps, done consistently, lead to big results 💡

Success at school begins with strong foundations in both maths and English.
At First Class Learning, our tailored tuition programmes support students in developing reading comprehension, writing clarity, numerical confidence and problem-solving skills. By working at a pace that suits each child, we help turn confusion into understanding and hesitation into confidence.
With consistent support and encouragement, small steps each week lead to lasting progress and a renewed enjoyment of learning.

April is World Autism Acceptance Month, a time to celebrate individuality and recognise that every child learns and experiences the world in their own unique way.
Creating supportive, understanding environments helps children feel confident, valued and able to reach their potential. By encouraging patience, kindness and inclusion, we help build communities where every learner can thrive.

💭 Parents often ask why we use paper-based resources instead of tablets or apps.
Here’s why:
✨ Writing by hand improves focus and memory
✨ Easier to review and correct together
✨ Less screen time at home
✨ Keeps handwriting neat for exam success
Sometimes, the simplest methods are the most effective! ✏️📘

Imran deserves this Student of the Month award as he has become more committed to his learning especially producing quality homework recently. This has led to him consolidating new concepts more quickly and generally becoming more confident in his English and Maths skills. Well done Imran and keep up the great work 👍 👏
