Did you know our gut health can influence how our brains develop and function? 🧠✨
Research shows that the bacteria in our gut can affect mood, behaviour, stress levels and overall mental wellbeing, starting from early childhood and continuing throughout life.
The foods and drinks we consume don’t just fuel our bodies, they can also support healthy brain development and emotional health. 🍎🥦💧
Understanding these links helps researchers explore how early life experiences, nutrition and lifestyle can shape long-term health outcomes for children and families across Liverpool 💛

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we're recognising the importance of understanding children’s wellbeing as they grow, develop and experience the world around them 💛
Every childhood experience, environment and connection can play a role in shaping future health and wellbeing.
At the CGULL Study we’re helping build a better understanding of how children and families grow up in Liverpool over time because supporting future generations starts with listening, learning and understanding today.

🌍 This World Earth Day, we're thinking about the world our children are growing up in.
Because health doesn’t start in a hospital
it starts in our homes, our communities and the environments around us every day.
This study is working with families to better understand how early life experiences, surroundings and opportunities shape children’s health as they grow.
From cleaner air and safe neighbourhoods
to strong family connections and supportive communities every small factor plays a role in building healthier futures.
Together, we are learning what helps children thrive and together we can create lasting change.
Happy World Earth Day 🌱
