Your consults might already be quieter than they should be — and AI is about to change that.
AI in veterinary medicine is no longer a future concept. A recent British Veterinary Association survey shows 1 in 5 UK vets are already using it, most commonly for diagnostics and reporting.
But there’s a much less discussed shift happening in the background: what AI is doing to the consult itself.
This blog explores something most clinics will recognise instantly — the “silent consult,” where findings are made, noted, and explained only at the end. It’s efficient, but it can leave clients out of the thinking process, and overload clinicians trying to hold everything in their head.
Now, tools like CoVet are changing that dynamic. Because documentation is generated from what’s spoken, vets naturally narrate more of the exam — describing findings as they happen, not hours later.
Read the full blog to explore what this means for the future of veterinary care — and why the “silent consult” may be on its way out.

Burnout in veterinary practice isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s the notes, discharge summaries, follow-ups, and admin that quietly follow you home at the end of the day.
In “From Burnout to Breathing Room”, Dr Adele Williams-Xavier explores how AI can help reduce the documentation burden on veterinary teams, giving clinicians more breathing room without replacing the human judgment that matters most.
This webinar looks at:
✔️ The hidden “second shift” in veterinary work
✔️ How AI can support clinical documentation responsibly
✔️ What should always stay human in patient care
✔️ Simple ways to reduce pressure on your team
If you’ve ever stayed late finishing notes or taken admin home with you, this session is well worth a watch.
