Lo scorso novembre sono stata al London Transport Museum a Covent Garden ed è stato pazzesco! Se amate Londra e la sua storia, dovete assolutamente metterlo in lista per il prossimo viaggio! 🚌✨

🚇 The Tube / Underground = La metropolitana (non chiamarla Subway a Londra, o penseranno al fast food!)
🚌 Double-decker bus = Il famosissimo autobus rosso a due piani.
Ⓜ️ The Elizabeth line = È stata inaugurata nel maggio 2022 (per il Giubileo di Platino della Regina Elisabetta II) ed è tecnicamente una ferrovia, non una semplice linea della metro, anche se sulle mappe appare con il colore viola.
È velocissima: Rispetto alla classica linea rossa (Central Line), la Elizabeth line ti permette di attraversare la città in metà del tempo!!!! 🇬🇧

🇬🇧 Here is the wonderful view from the terraces of the Diocesan Museum of Catania. You can see Piazza del Duomo with its Elephant Fountain, the long main street of the city called Via Etnea, and framing it all, Mount Etna, standing there, grand and majestic.

🇬🇧 The Etna tour was SUGGESTIVE, ENGAGING, AND EVOCATIVE.
3,400 meters of PURE BEAUTY! 🌋
We were a group of 6: two Sardinians, two from Puglia, and two French guys. Our guide, Francesco, drove us in a Van from Catania up to RIFUGIO SAPIENZA. From there, we hiked up to the Silvestri Craters at 2,000 meters. We walked all the way around the edge of the crater—it was a tough climb and my head was spinning a bit, but it was pure AMAZING WONDER!
I loved the contrast between the Black of the Volcano and the White of the snow still on the ground. ❄️🖤
After heading back to the Refuge, the guide took us into a cave formed by an old lava flow!
We also saw what’s left of the 1992 LAVA FLOW in the village of Zafferana. Believe it or not, the lava stopped just THREE METERS FROM A HOUSE THAT WAS INHABITED AT THE TIME! 🏠🚫
We finished everything off perfectly with a DELICIOUS TASTING at a local farmhouse: local treats and every kind of Honey you can imagine! 🍯
IT WAS A SPECIAL DAY 🇬🇧
🇮🇹 Il Tour all'Etna è stato a SUGGESTIVO, COINVOLGENTE ED EVOCATIVO.
3400 metri di PURA BELLEZZA! 🌋
Eravamo un gruppo di 6 persone. Due Sardi, due Pugliesi e due Francesi. La guida, un ragazzo di nome Francesco, ci ha portato in Van da Catania fino al RIFUGIO SAPIENZA, da cui ci siamo mossi a piedi facendo una bellissima camminata fino ad uno dei Crateri Silvestri, a 2000 metri d'altezza. Abbiamo camminato su per il cratere costeggiandolo tutto intorno, con grande fatica, un po' di Vertigini ma TANTO STUPORE!
Mi ha colpito molto il contrasto del colore Nero del Vulcano ed il Bianco di alcune parti ancora innevate..❄️🖤
Dopo essere tornati al Rifugio la guida ci ha dunque portato in una grotta scavata da una delle tante colate laviche!
Abbiamo poi visto i resti della COLATA LAVICA DEL 1992, nel paesino di Zafferana, incredibile ma vero questa si è fermata proprio a TRE METRI DA UNA CASA ALLORA ABITATA! 🏠🚫
Tutto si è concluso alla Perfezione con una BUONISSIMA DEGUSTAZIONE in un Agriturismo del paesino suddetto: Prodotti Locali e Miele di ogni tipo! 🍯
È STATO UN GIORNO SPECIALE🇮🇹
🇬🇧 These are the Ancient Roman Baths, known as the Achillian Baths, dating back to the 4th-5th century AD and rediscovered in 1885. Located next to Catania Cathedral, a small portion is still visible under Piazza del Duomo... STUNNING! 🇬🇧
🇮🇹 Queste sono le Antiche Terme Romane, conosciute come Terme Achilliane, databili al IV-V secolo d. C. e riscoperte nel 1885, si trovano di fianco alla Cattedrale di Catania di cui rimane una piccola porzione visibile sotto piazza del Duomo...SUGGESTIVE 🇮🇹
