Cratoule Summer Singing School

We are delighted to announce a new student bursary in memory of Michael Harper.

The Michael Harper Bursary will be awarded to a tenor who is a current college student, to support participation in the Cratoule Summer Singing School taking place 15–22 August 2026. The bursary will cover most of the course fees.

Applicants are invited to submit a video recording of one Mozart or Handel aria. Recordings should be sent to Marc Verter ([email protected]) by 15 May 2026.
Results will be announced by 1 June 2026.

In addition to the core summer school repertoire, the successful singer will be asked to prepare one song from the Williams–Howard repertoire of neglected Afro-American composers, in recognition of Michael Harper’s artistic legacy.

The bursary has been generously donated by Michael Harper’s partner, Tony Page.
