Last week, Year 1 made a delicious pear crumble! ๐
They had a wonderful session consolidating their knowledge of measurement whilst nothing their fine motor skills to work (and using up excess pears to prevent food waste!).
They discussed how to cut their pears safely into halves, carefully weighed the ingredients and practised rubbing together the crumble topping.
The children thoroughly enjoyed eating their crumble in the afternoon - it got a big thumbs up from everyone! ๐

In Year 3, a mother dragon swooped into school and left a dragon egg for each child to care for until they hatched! ๐
The magical experience became the perfect stimulus for their literacy lessons, inspiring the children to use a range of exciting fronted adverbials to describe the dramatic hatching moments and the adventures their dragons got up to in their very first moments of life.

Year 1 had a lovely day out at Kew Gardens today!
After a trip on the Mildmay line, they got stuck into a Plant Hunters workshop where they identified plant parts and crafted their own mini trees.
They ended the day by exploring the Palm House and the Prince of Wales Conservatory. They were amazed by how the air changed as they walked in and were absolutely fascinated by the scale of the tropical plants!๐ฑ๐ด
