A huge congratulations to all the girls who took part in this year’s Sports Day! Despite a rainy start to the morning, everyone showed fantastic resilience, determination and team spirit throughout the day.

Congratulations to Curie, who were crowned this year’s champions with an impressive 111 points. Well done to Du Maurier and Nightingale, who finished as joint
runners-up with 98 points each.

The other week, our Year 5 pupils had a Cocktail Party! This exciting event was bid on by one of our wonderful Year 5 parents at the FoSM Quiz Night.

The girls enjoyed Cocktails (non-alcoholic of course), pizza and more! They danced to their favourite songs with Rudy and even witnessed Mr Bernes doing the Macarena!

Five months of rehearsals, involving students from both years 5 & 6, culminated in a stunning performance of Annie Junior on Thursday 21st May, in the Studio Theatre at Artsdepot.
Following the success of Matilda at the same venue last year, this production was St Margaret’s first Junior School performance to involve two year-groups, thereby doubling the number of girls involved in the show.

This was Mr Bergin’s final St Margaret’s production, as he bows out of the school at the end of term. He does so with an enormous sense of gratitude to all the colleagues who helped behind the scenes, as well as parents for their support, both through rehearsals and on the night, but most of all to all the girls of Years 5 & 6 who made this production so memorable.

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils recently returned from their action-packed PGL residential trip!

The girls tackled several thrilling harness-based activities; zooming down the zip wire, climbing Jacob’s Ladder and the ‘trapeze’ - where the girls must climb to the top of a tall pole, balance on a small platform several metres above the ground, the leap out in an attempt to strike a suspended buoy.

Alongside these high-adrenaline challenges, there were also some more traditional activities to round things off: orienteering, a wildness challenge in which girls had to build a shelter, archery and ending the first evening by singing songs around the campfire.
