Meet Garrett Morgan - the curious inventor who helped make the world a safer place! 🚦💡

Garrett loved experimenting and asking, “What if?” That curiosity led him to invent an early gas mask that saved lives and a three-light traffic signal that helps drivers stay safe every day. Pretty amazing for someone who only had a few years of formal schooling!

From tinkering with ideas to creating inventions used around the world, Garrett Morgan showed that big ideas can come from anyone who stays curious and never gives up.

Dr. Helene D. Gayle is a courageous doctor and global health leader who has spent her life fighting diseases and standing up for communities in need. Through her work in public health and leadership, she shows us that caring for others and speaking up for fairness can change the world. 🌍💙

Curt Flood was more than a remarkable baseball player; his talents as an artist shone through in his pieces like those of Martin Luther King Jr., as well as being a brave man. ⚾🎨 On the field, he worked hard, practised every day, and became one of the best at catching and hitting. Off the field, he loved painting and creating beautiful artwork. But what made him truly special was his courage. When something felt unfair, he spoke up - even when it was scary.

✨ Ella Baker didn’t chase the spotlight - she built the movement. An organiser, mentor, and believer in everyday people, she taught generations that real change comes from listening to what is within and channelling it into activism. Though challenging racism and sexism, to heal the community with her collective power, her genius wasn’t just loud - it was lasting. ✊🏾🌱

Dr. Thomas Mensah is proof that big dreams + big brains can change the world. 🌍⚡

A fibre-optics pioneer, he helped make the super-fast internet we use every day possible - turning tiny strands of glass into highways for light and information. 💡💻 His inventions helped power global communication, advanced technology, and even medical tools.

From a curious kid who loved science to a world-recognised engineer, Dr. Mensah shows us that learning, imagination, and determination can connect the whole planet.

Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson is a brilliant scientist who loved learning about how the world works. She became the first Black woman to earn a PhD in physics from MIT and helped invent technology we use every day, like phones and the internet. Dr. Jackson also became a college president and showed kids everywhere that if you dream big and work hard, you can do amazing things in science! 🚀✨

He grew up facing unfair treatment, but he never let it stop him. He travelled the world, and found a new home in France, where he learned to FLY! 🛩️✨

Eugene wasn’t just brave in the sky, he was also a jazz drummer and a secret spy during World War II!

His life reminds us that you can be anything you dream of and even more.
