A huge congratulations to all 70 of our pupils, from CE1 to CM2, who took part in the Knight Frank Schools Triathlon on Sunday 7th June! 🏅

Every single participant should be incredibly proud of their effort, determination, and achievements throughout the event. It was truly inspiring to see our young athletes give their all, support one another, and cross the finish line with such enthusiasm and resilience.

In the lead-up to the triathlon, our pupils also organised a fantastic Bake Sale at school in May, raising funds for the charity Restless Development. Their commitment both on and off the course reflects the wonderful values of our school community.

A special thank you goes to our amazing team of parent volunteers, whose organisation, encouragement, and support helped make the day such a success.

What a wonderful example of our school community coming together with energy, generosity, and joy. We are so proud of you all! 🌟

Today started with a lot of excitement as we celebrated L’Ecole de Battersea’s 20th Birthday!

The playground has been decorated festively and all week pupils have been decorating their classroom doors, and formed part of the creation of a painting representing this memorable occasion.

This morning we have been thoroughly entertained by the finalists of our whole school L’Ecole de Battersea talent show, as initiated by our dynamic school council and it was a feast for the eyes and ears!

After sharing a festive lunch, all pupils and staff gathered in the playground in the afternoon. Mr and Mrs Otten made a special appearance, we sang the school song alongside our birthday choir and finished the day with a special birthday cake and cupcakes.

Please keep an eye on our social media channels over the next few days as we will share more memories of the celebrations.

Thank you for being part of our wonderful community for so many years!

What a dazzling “Shakespeare on Trial” show our CM2 pupils gifted us on 18th and 19th May, a play celebrating Shakespeare’s life and works!

Four hundred years after his passing, poor William Shakespeare (or affectionately, “Shakie”) finds himself in the dock, accused of being boring and outdated. But fear not, he pleads not guilty, and what follows is nothing short of theatrical magic.

Our young actors lit up the stage, slipping brilliantly into the shoes of his most iconic characters – from the brooding Macbeths to the wise Portia, from noble Othello to the star-crossed Romeo and Juliet. Even Queen Elizabeth I and the Kings of England returned to bear witness to his timeless genius.

The show unfurled like a living tapestry, weaving together Shakespeare’s most memorable scenes, historical echoes, witty twists, and a whole lot of laughter. Every line delivered, every gesture made, brimmed with energy and heart. The audience was held spellbound… until, the judges lifted the “bore-o-meter” from a sleepy “snore” to a triumphant “WOW!”

Bravo to our talented pupils and their inspiring teachers for this incredible teamwork, we couldn’t be prouder! 🤩👏👏

We are proud to share our brand new Eco-Code, created by our school representatives as part of our commitment to protecting the environment and building a more sustainable future.🌱
It shows the values and actions we want to encourage throughout our school community, from reducing food waste to caring for nature and respecting our planet every day.🌍
This is an exciting step in our journey towards achieving the Eco-Schools green flag award, and we are looking forward to working together with our pupils, staff, and families to make a positive difference.
We encourage all families to support our Eco-Code at home and help us inspire lifelong environmentally friendly habits.
Together, we can make our world greener, cleaner, and brighter for everyone! 💚

We couldn't be prouder of our young champions who joined The TCS Mini London Marathon on Saturday 25th April either for the one-mile or 2.6k challenge 💪

Crossing the iconic finish line and receiving a prestigious medal was a moment to remember. To top of it all off, we also had two pupils who earned the 24th and 25th place out of 500 runners in the 2.6km wave! A wonderful achievement! 🏅

A massive well done to all our pupils who took part! And a huge thank you to the incredible parents who coordinated the event for the school and the members of our school community who joined the run or supported the teams 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

We could not be prouder of our CM2 pupils, who have passed the 11+ examinations with outstanding success and received offers from some of the most prestigious secondary schools in London. These remarkable achievements are a true testament to their dedication, perseverance, and ambition. 👏

Such success would not have been possible without the unwavering support and commitment of their exceptional teachers, as well as the encouragement of their families. Together, they have nurtured each pupil’s potential and helped them shine.

Congratulations to every one of them on this incredible milestone. We are confident they will continue to flourish and make the very most of the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

At L’Ecole de Battersea, our high academic standards, bespoke curriculum, and strong core values provide a truly unique bilingual education, opening the doors to leading secondary schools—both French and British.

Well done to all our “Maternelle” pupils who ran the school Mini-marathon Challenge during the week of 23–27 March. The goal was to run and complete as many laps as possible in a limited time, but also get moving, have fun, and work together. They ran 72.9 km altogether, Bravo to all our young champions !
This event had different purposes: participate in the official “TCS Mini London Marathon in Schools” (), raise funds for WWF, and participate in the AEFE "ZE TOUR 2026 - Le Tour des Zones Europe" challenge: a project aiming to collectively accumulate 21,684 km on foot to symbolise a tour of our four European zones.
The “ZE TOUR 2026” project has exceeded its target, reaching a total distance of 24,754 km, with over 6,000 pupils participating across all four AEFE Europe zones.

🤩"What a school!" It was an absolute joy to watch our talented CE1 pupils performing their annual show, "School Vision" on Thursday 26th March. The entire school community came to life in the most charming and humourous way, with everyone being brilliantly portrayed: from the pupils and LEF parents to the teachers, heads, cleaning staff, canteen team…and even the OFSTED inspector! The choreographies and songs were lively, the performance was filled with energy, laughter, and an infectious sense of fun. A big round of applause to our incredible pupils and teachers! 👏

🤩On Monday 23rd March, our CM1 pupils proudly presented their show, “Jill and Fred’s Most Hysterical Historical Adventure.”

Best friends and influencers Jill and Fred swept us along on a whirlwind journey through time and space, on a mission to bring an elderly couple’s dream to life and draw visitors to their museum. Under the watchful eye of Alexa, their digital companion (whom they rather accidentally brought to life), they learned valuable lessons from their hilarious encounters with some of history’s most famous (and a few lesser-known!) figures: Vikings, Egyptians, Queen Elizabeth I, soldiers from the First World War, schoolchildren from the early 20th century, and more.
The audience, utterly captivated, was delighted to be carried along on this joyful musical adventure, brimming with humour and insight, and cleverly weaving together innovation and historical fact. It was a wonderful tribute to the courage, ingenuity, and sacrifice of those who came before us.

A huge congratulations to our talented pupils and dedicated teachers for such a truly memorable performance! ✨
