Happiest of birthdays to the one and only John Ramster!
It is a real privilege to have a director of such wisdom, expertise and international repute as John direct our final show of the year. It's shaping up to be a great one!
These shots are from a very inspiring and fun workshop with our students John led earlier this term.

On this day in 1934, Gustav Holst died in London, at the age of 59, of heart failure following an operation on his ulcer. He was one of RVWâs most trusted friends. They constantly shared their latest compositions, and each man trusted the otherâs opinion, even when critical. Holst did not have RVWâs privileged background, nor financial independence, and in his younger years supported himself by working as a jobbing musician (trombone) in theatre orchestras around the country. He was also a fine teacher, and worked at Morley College from 1907 until 1924.
