This Black History Month, the Howard University Alumni Club of London had the honour of hosting President Wayne A.I. Frederick M.D. MBA for an Alumni & Friends Reception at The Africa Centre in London, England. The Howard University Alumni Club of London was established in 2011 and exists within a vast Black expatriate organisational ecosystem which includes 6 out of 9 National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) Divine 9 fraternities and sororities, Sigma Pi Phi (The Boulé), The Links Incorporated, and the Democrats Abroad United Kingdom Black Caucus. This year’s reception served as a moment of reflection and celebration in observance of the 100th anniversary of U.S. Black History Month: a time to honor the legacy, contributions, and enduring impact of Historically Black Colleges and Universities such as Howard University, as well as the global community that continues to champion their mission. Whether we are on The Yard, or across the pond, we will always love Howard University #AlwaysHowardEvenAbroad ❤️💙🤍🦬

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of Cheryl McGee Wallace, former President of the Howard University Alumni Club of London. As we endeavor to come to terms with this loss, we ask that you keep her husband, siblings, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.

Cheryl specialized in bringing people together. She was incredibly warm and gregarious, connecting disparate groups through all manner of topics and experiences. This is how we will remember her: welcoming Howard alumni to London and helping them build the communities that have sustained us all of these years. May her soul rest in peace.
