🎧 This is just part of what May Half Term looked like at LMP Action.

We brought in the brilliant team at Noise Academy for a DJ Masterclass to get young people groovin'. Young people were learning to blend, scratch and build a set by the end of the session. The confidence in that room was something else entirely.
This is what we mean when we say we create experiences young people remember. Not a worksheet. Not a screen. A real skill, taught by real professionals, in a space where they felt free to try something new and absolutely love it.

Big love to Noise Academy for bringing the energy as always.

⚽ We are absolutely buzzing that QPR are coming to the LMP Action Academy this May Half Term!
On Thursday 28th May, Queens Park Rangers Football Club will be joining us for a very special coaching and training session as part of our packed half term programme.

🏗️ Ever wondered what it actually feels like to build something from scratch?

Last summer we took a group of young people to Nescot College in Epsom for something genuinely special a four day construction camp in partnership with Wates, one of the UK's leading construction companies.

Over those four days something shifted. They weren't students on a trip anymore they were on site, tools in hand, actually building. Measuring, cutting, constructing and watching something go from an idea on paper to a real physical structure they made themselves. They sat across the table from Wates professionals who have actually built the skyline, worked through project plans and designed with purpose, not just sketching for the sake of it but planning like the industry does it for real.

And just when they thought it couldn't get any better Go Ape. Because nothing caps off a week of building and designing quite like launching yourself through a treetop assault course and absolutely loving every second of it.

The energy, the growth and the pride on those young people's faces by day four said everything. These weren't kids who had been talked at about their future. They were young people who had started to picture it and believe in it.

We are already deep in planning for the next one. Details are coming soon and trust us when we say you won't want to miss this.

🌟 Looking for something to do on a Saturday? We've got you covered.
We are proud to be working alongside some brilliant SEND partner organisations to bring new opportunities to young people across Hammersmith and Fulham.

For young people aged 11–25, Sport Works is running a full programme of multi sports, dance, gymnastics and daily sessions on healthy eating and nutrition. A place to get active, learn and grow, every Saturday from 10am to 3pm.

Mencap Centre is opening its doors to young people aged 13–25 for cultural trips, workshops and partnerships with incredible organisations including the Royal Albert Hall. Building confidence, independence and social skills through experiences that actually matter, every Saturday from 10am to 3pm.

And for young people aged 11–16, Let's Unite for Autism are running Saturday SEND sessions at Greenside Primary; virtual reality experiences, creative arts, community trips and a genuinely supportive space to socialise, build friendships and develop independence. Every Saturday from 12pm to 2pm.
Three programmes. Three brilliant organisations. One shared mission: making sure every young person in this community has somewhere to go and something to look forward to.

🎧 Some partnerships just make sense.

LMP Action and Noise Academy are joining forces in May half term! We couldn't be more excited about what that means for young people in our community.

Noise Academy have built something remarkable. Their work unlocking the creative potential of young people through music technology is genuinely transformative. Through tailored DJ and music technology programmes they help young people find their voice, build confidence and develop a love for learning that goes way beyond the decks.

At LMP Action we've seen first hand what happens when young people are given the right opportunity in the right environment. Last year's DJ Rowathon was proof of that — the energy, the talent and the pride on those young people's faces said everything.

So we're doing it again. Bigger and better.

Together we'll be running DJ programmes with LMP Action at camp this May half term, bringing world class music technology experiences to young people who deserve access to them.

At LMP Action, we don't just talk about what we believe in. We show up and live it every single day.

Everything we do starts with two simple words: take action. Not tomorrow, not when the time is right, not when everything is perfectly in place. Now. Because the young people we work with don't have time to wait and neither do we.

But action without purpose means nothing. That's why everything we deliver is held to the highest standard. Quality isn't a box we tick — it's a promise we make to every young person who walks through our doors. If it isn't good enough for our own children, it isn't good enough for theirs.

We believe in the power of inspiration. Not the kind that comes from a poster on a wall but the kind that happens when a young person does something they didn't think they could do. When they surprise themselves. When something clicks. Those moments are why we exist.

And underneath all of it: compassion. We see the young people we work with. Really see them. Where they come from, what they're carrying, what they're capable of. Every session, every programme, every interaction is built on genuine care for the people in front of us.

Take action. Ensure quality. Be inspiring. Have compassion.
That's not just what we do. That's who we are.

💙 Real impact happens when young people are given the space, support and encouragement to thrive and that’s exactly what Mencap is doing.

Across the UK, their work with young people with learning disabilities is opening doors, building confidence and creating opportunities that truly matter. It’s about more than support it’s about helping individuals feel seen, heard and empowered in their everyday lives.

A big part of that comes through their creative and social programmes, giving young people a chance to connect, express themselves and try something new in a safe and welcoming environment.

Here’s what’s happening each week for ages 13–25:

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Youth Club - Wednesdays, 4–6pm
🎭 Drama Club -Thursdays, 5–6:30pm
🎨 Art Club - Fridays, 4:30–6:30pm

These sessions aren’t just activities they’re spaces where friendships grow, confidence builds and individuality is celebrated.

Opportunities like this can make a lasting difference, and it’s important more people know they’re out there.
