It is possible to get infected by just clicking on a link but usually there is more than one stage to the attack.
There is of course Pegasus mobile spyware that is zero click but it’s rarely used on this scale as it’s expensive to use and usually targets high value targets and not the general public.

This is how I went from IT to cybersecurity 10 years ago and I recently helped someone named Hamid do the same thing.
You’’d be surprised by how many cybersecurity skills you already have but you just need to learn how to market yourself for the jobs you are going for!

I switched from IT to cybersecurity 10 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. Back then, I had no idea where to start or what jobs to look for.
I then found a mentor who opened my eyes to the fact that I had so many transferable skills from my IT role.
I combined this with certifications and projects and landed a job!
