"Interest in learning Korean has spiked since the launch of hit Netflix show โSquid Gameโ, tutoring services reported, underscoring a growing global obsession with South Korean culture from entertainment to beauty products."
As a streaming service focused on bringing international and independent cinema to the masses, it is inspiring to us at FilmDoo to see such a huge appreciation for a Korean series on a worldwide scale.
Squid Game has taken the world by storm, and has inspired many people to learn a new language. More people are recognising the power of film as a means of education and learning.
At FilmDoo, we believe in the power of film and TV to inspire and spark an interest in new concepts and cultures. The development and launch of our interactive edtech tool was inspired by this very notion.

Despite the production crew shortages, it's great to see companies like Netflix, Amazon, and ScreenSkills investing in the vibrant British film scene through expansion and new training opportunities.
In particular, Netflix's Grow Creative UK initiative aims to train and upskill over 1,000 people in the film industry, particularly those from diverse backgrounds.
Diversity and inclusion are a central part of FilmDoo's vision to bring global and independent cinema to the masses, so it is encouraging to see our peers giving due consideration to those from diverse and minority backgrounds.
Streaming demand for UK shows will create 30,000 film and TV jobs
Amid a shortage of crew, UK producers are investing billions in training and bringing in more diversity
