✨Delighted to join the Creative Commerce panel at Tech in Ghana - London Edition, alongside an incredible group of founders, operators and creators.

Alongside of HYPHNT, kjowusu of Akuna Wallet, Esther Akinola and Birgit Lewinski, both bossing it at LinkedIn, we covered everything from staying authentic and monetising your brand to payments infrastructure, using data effectively and turning an audience into a business.

One thing that stood out to me: the conversation has changed.

The focus is no longer just on building an audience. It’s on building sustainable businesses.

It was great to draw on my experience of launching and growing the 3am Girls brand at the Daily Mirror and to discuss what today’s creators can learn from that journey.

We also explored a less-discussed reality of the creator economy: navigating a PR storm and protecting your reputation when things don’t go to plan.

👏Huge thanks to Akosua Annobil the founder and driving force behind Tech In Ghana, for building such a powerful platform and for consistently creating spaces where meaningful conversations, connections and opportunities can thrive, to our excellent moderator BLISS • KINGG and the entire Tech In Ghana team for another fantastic event.

💔With Kanya, where else but backstage at a concert.
Last September at the O2 Arena, as we waited for Kanya to present Vybz Kartel with his MOBO Lifetime Achievement Award, he turned to her and said: “Honouring me? We should be honouring you.”💐
And he was right.
Kanya should be honoured not only for everything she built, but for the extraordinary way she used her devastating diagnosis to raise awareness and encourage people to prioritise their health.

It’s easy to underestimate the impact of the brand she created and her tireless work to ensure music of Black origin was celebrated, recognised and valued on a par with every other genre. She built MOBO into a brand that stood alongside the biggest awards in the world. That’s why artists such as Tina Turner, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Amy Winehouse and D’Angelo and so many more, all graced the stage.

The MOBO Awards were everything other award shows weren’t: cool, unpredictable, authentic and culturally relevant.

We mourn her death, but celebrate her extraordinary life.

Rest in peace 🕊️

How can you PR your business when you don’t know what your story is? How can you stand out from the crowd when you can’t articulate what makes your company different from everyone else’s?

It’s a really common problem, and one of the biggest mistakes that costs entrepreneurs opportunities.

🎤I’ll be discussing this and more at the Everywoman Entrepreneurs Growth Summit in London on Tuesday 16th June 2026 at the HQ of

Really looking forward to being in conversation with CEO Lemon Fuller Founder and CEO of and Natalie Duvall, Co-Founder of , two founders doing brilliant things.
