Today our Year 6s took part in two workshops in support of their transition to secondary school. As our pupils grow older, it is imperative they continue to learn about challenges they may face and how to overcome them safely. They participated in a TfL workshop educating them on how to use their ZIP cards and also how to travel safely on public transport. After, they took part in a 'Va**ng Awareness' workshop to help them feel more confident about situations involving banned substances and to develop their understanding of the risks involved. Both workshops were incredibly informative and our children listened and participated with great enthusiasm.

Oral Hygiene Workshop

This week, Year 1 took part in an exciting Oral Hygiene Workshop where they learned how to look after their teeth and gums. The children explored the best foods and drinks for healthy teeth, discovered how much sugar can be hidden in some of their favourite beverages, and learned why it is important to visit the dentist twice a year. They were also shown the correct techniques for brushing their teeth and enjoyed practising how to keep their smiles clean, healthy, and strong.

Year 3 pupils have been exploring traditional Indonesian gamelan folktales and music this term. The children combined music with storytelling by using puppets, bringing their pieces to life in a creative and imaginative way. We are very proud of their enthusiasm and the confidence in their performances.

Year 3 Geography Field Work
As part of our Geography topic, Improving Our Local Area, Year 3 recently took part in a fieldwork walk around the local community. The children carefully observed the streets and public spaces, identifying areas where rubbish had accumulated and locating the bins available for public use. The children showed excellent observation skills and enthusiasm throughout the activity. Their fieldwork will help them develop thoughtful suggestions for improving our local area and becoming responsible citizens who care for their environment
