📍 We’ve moved!
Our Thursday service for people impacted homelessness and housing insecurity is now running from Streatham United Reformed Church. Every Thursday from 09:00-11:30am.
It’s a new location, but everything else stays the same:
✅ same team
✅ same service
✅ same support
✅ same Streatham community at the heart of what we do
A huge thank you to St Leonard’s for many wonderful years. We’re grateful to the space and community that helped shape Spires into the service it is today.
Come visit us and spread the word about our new location. We’re not going far… just a little closer to the common. 💜

Team Spires completed The London Walk 2026 💜 🏃♀️
Nine tough hours, 240,000 steps, and more than £3,000 raised to support people impacted homelessness.
As the sun came up and the RRT UK were already serving breakfast for rough sleepers who’d spent (another) night in the cold, our determination to end homelessness was stronger than ever, sore feet and all.
Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, and supported us.

A proud March moment 💜
Our Head of Client Services, IamPamelaMhlophe , joined leaders from the Agenda Alliance at No. 10 Downing Street to advocate for greater representation of women with lived and learned experience in public appointments.
Pamela joined 18 women leaders in discussions with the Public Appointments team and Jess Phillips, Minister for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls. Together, they explored barriers to representation, the power of lived experience, and the importance of bringing marginalised voices into rooms where change is shaped.
We’re incredibly proud of her — and of the movement pushing to in every part of public life.

In March, we spent a powerful day celebrating the women we work with and support. 💜✨
Together with our Lambeth partners, we created a joyful, healing space for rest, connection, and wellbeing on International Women’s Day. We welcomed 79 women for a day that belonged entirely to them with activities including zumba, mindfulness crafts, manicures, letter‑writing, and a shared lunch generously donated by a long-time Spires supporter.
Our Women’s Service supports people facing the sharpest edges of inequality, from homelessness to gender‑based violence. Days like this remind us how much strength, tenderness, and resilience our community holds.
As our Women’s Support Worker, Reegan, said during the event:
“Strength balances tenderness. Labour deserves acknowledgement. And you deserve a day that belongs entirely to you.”

As the year comes to a close, we’re reflecting on what Spires has achieved in 2025 💜
This year, Spires supported 774 people through our Rough Sleeper drop-ins, Women’s Space, Croydon Refugee Service, and s*x worker outreach. Our team worked to provide housing support, health access, and financial and benefits advice to those experiencing homelessness and poverty in south London.
While we are proud of our work, we know there is a lot more work to be done in 2026.
