The most amazing day ๐๐๐
26/02/2021
Today marked the end of an era as I said goodbye to Palfish and made the 3rd scariest decision of my life (honestly not that far behind selling my house & quitting my job to travel the world) to concentrate 100% on building my own teaching business which Iโve been working on in the sidelines for the past few months. ๐
Palfish has given me the opportunity to travel the world whilst earning a living in the one of the most stress-free ways possible. Thanks to this amazing opportunity, Iโve taught from 7 countries around the globe and had the most exciting adventures EVER. ๐ป๐ณ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฝ๐จ๐ท๐ณ๐ฎ๐น๐ท
I will miss my little munchkins forever. Leaving behind my students who have been by my side for almost 2 years has been super emotional and totally bittersweet. More than just teaching them English, Iโve seen their baby teeth fall out and their big ones grow, watched them start kindergarten and then school, and sat with them during trips to the shopping mall, restaurant, zoo, dentist, hospital, and even the toilet (yes, including poo-poos).๐ฉ
I can only hope they remember me in the future when theyโre wondering whether to use the voiced or voiceless /th/ or long or short /oo/. (If you know, you know.) ๐
Feeling super emotional right now and the only way I could share this news was by using an old photo from the snow day we had about 6 weeks ago (life has been crazy busy since then and apparently I havenโt taken a single photo of myself since?!) โ๏ธ
I will still be here to help you guys embark on your own travelling teacher adventures and I can still help you to get your TEFL Certificates & start teaching English online. Still feel free to message me about this at any time! ๐

One of the EASIEST & most REWARDING ways to make TRAVELLING & EARNING your reality is by TEACHING ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE. ๐ฉ๐ผโ๐ซ
Itโs way simpler than you think to become an English Teacher - & NOW is the perfect time to get started so youโre ready to go once you-know-what allows! ๐ฆ
Let me break it down for you into 3๏ธโฃ EASY steps:
Donโt forget to SAVE THIS POST & return to it when youโre ready to take the plunge! ๐
1๏ธโฃ Get a TEFL certificate. There are lots of TEFL providers out there, but you need to choose a reputable, comprehensive course that will actually prepare you for life as a teacher. Send me a message or check out the links in my bio for more info about the course I took & recommend to others! ๐ฉ๐ผโ๐
2๏ธโฃ Choose WHO/WHERE/HOW you want to teach. There are so many opportunities to teach English & travel. You can teach online, volunteer in deprived communities abroad or teach in schools & language centres around the world.
Personally, I love teaching online because of the flexibility it gives me to teach from wherever I want to go ๐ฒ
3๏ธโฃ APPLY for jobs. A good TEFL provider will support you with your job search after graduating - or if you want to teach online, I can show you the ropes and help you get started! ๐ซ
Do you want to travel the world & make money as you go? ๐ธ
Send me a message or visit my website (link in bio) for more info about how YOU can get started ๐

2 years since I embarked on my Yoga Teacher Training in Kerala, India...one of the most beautiful yet challenging experiences of my life. ๐ง๐ผโโ๏ธ
In my โold lifeโ, I never could have dedicated a month to the practice of yoga. I had limited holidays from work, plus a mortgage to pay that made it feel impossible. ๐คฏ
Yoga Teacher Training is just one of the many amazing opportunities Iโve had since taking my TEFL certificate & travelling the world. ๐ซ
Who knows what opportunities it could bring you?!๐ฆ
I know itโs hard right now to imagine a life of freedom and adventure given the current situation of the world, but Iโm holding on hope that our time will return and be bigger and better than ever โจ

Happy VEGANUARY ๐๐๐
This week marks my 3rd VEGANniversary, so in celebration I thought Iโd share with you my TOP 5 TIPS FOR TRAVELLING AS A VEGAN ๐ฑ
Donโt forget to SAVE THIS POST to return to later! โ
1๏ธโฃ๐ฑLearn some phrases in the local language explaining the meaning of vegan (no meat/fish/honey/eggs etc.) & save this on your phone to show waiters/shopkeepers to help them understand your requirements.
2๏ธโฃ๐ฑVisit to find vegan-friendly restaurants and cafes. I like to support 100% vegan establishments where possible, but if youโre struggling their website usually also includes places which have a few veganisable options too.
3๏ธโฃ๐ฑSearch online or ask the locals to find out some โaccidentally veganโ delicacies. Iโm often surprised to find a few dishes that are already vegan that the locals eat alllll the time, which makes it super easy to eat out wherever you go.
4๏ธโฃ๐ฑ Join Facebook groups designed for vegans in the area (e.g. vegans in Barcelona). Iโve managed to find a vegan Facebook group for almost everywhere Iโve visited and theyโre full of recommendations on vegan-friendly places in the area, and they often organise vegan meetups, too!
5๏ธโฃ๐ฑ Stay in apartments with kitchenettes where possible so that if all else fails, you can take a trip to the local veg market and make yourself some trusty veg fried rice!
Whereโs the most vegan-friendly place youโve ever visited? ๐
Do you have any other tips for vegan travel? ๐

3 years ago today, I took a huge leap of faith by signing on to a TEFL course. It was a moment that would completely change my life. ๐
I learned lots of important teaching skills like grammar, reading, writing and speaking, and even classroom management and discipline. ๐ฉ๐ผโ๐ซ
I met likeminded people who also wanted to teach English and travel the world. They inspired me and gave me hope for a future beyond the 9-5. ๐ค๐ฝ
A few months later, I graduated with a 168 hour combined TEFL Certificate, after completing part in a classroom and the second half online. ๐ฉ๐ผโ๐
I sold my house, quit my job and left behind everything I knew for a life of travel and adventure, teaching as I went. The rest is history...๐ง๐ผโโ๏ธ
Since then, Iโve taught English to Asylum Seekers and Refugees, in schools in Vietnam, and online whilst travelling around 7 different countries. ๐บ
There have been ups and downs, and I would never pretend itโs been perfect. No life is ever perfect - but Iโm still certain itโs the best decision I ever made ๐ช
2018 was the year I followed my dreams. 2021 could be YOURS! ๐ซ
Send me a message for more information about getting TEFL qualified, or teaching English overseas or online. ๐

HOME FOR CHRISTMAS ๐
This is the first Christmas Iโve spent at home since 2017, so Iโve been making the most of the festivities and taking part in every British Christmas tradition I can get my hands on! ๐
๐ผ
This weekend I made a wreath and last week I attempted a (dodgy-looking) reindeer cake ๐ฆ
Where are you guys spending Christmas this year? Are you feeling festive? โ๏ธ

HOW FAR FROM REALITY DOES THIS PICTURE SEEM RIGHT NOW?! ๐ฅถ
Last year I said I was never turning my back on December in the sun - who could have ever thought this year would turn out the way it did?! ๐ฆ
We had HUGE plans for this year. We were meant to move back to Vietnam, visit a LOAD more countries and then end the year by getting married. ๐ฐ๐ผ๐คต๐ผโโ๏ธ
Obviously none of that quite happened but thereโs still a load of things Iโm grateful for this year. Spending 2 months in Turkey was a highlight, and I feel so lucky to be teaching English online, which has meant Iโve been able to continue working and earning even during the pandemic. ๐ท
I have no idea when weโll get married or finally make it back to Vietnam, but this year is definitely teaching me to be more grateful & present, and stop always focussing on the future. Itโs a lesson I desperately needed to learn (and still need to get WAY better at!) ๐ซ
What has 2020 taught you? ๐ช
