More than just medicine.
More than a single future…👩🏾⚕️🔬🧑🏾🔬👩🏾💼🧬
On October 25th, we hosted our first-ever conference event, Beyond Medicine, in collaboration with London South Bank University and proudly funded by the Medical Research Council
The event highlighted the incredible range of opportunities within biomedical and life sciences, reminding us our journey can go beyond the lab and traditional medicine.
From inspiring talks by LSBU staff, to panel talks exploring careers within and beyond science (from clinical trials to entrepreneurship, media, science policy, and alternative healthcare degrees ), to an insightful session on medical writing and a powerful keynote by Professor Bernadine Idowu-Onibokun PhD, PFHEA, MRSB, FMedSci the day was nothing short of inspiring.
We’re proud to have brought together sixth formers, undergraduates, and graduates for a day of career exploration, networking, and community, redefining what success in science can look like.
✨ Thank you to everyone who joined us and made Beyond Medicine such a milestone moment for SiSTEM UK.
