I was absolutely thrilled and delighted today to see Year 7 in a Maths lesson working and teaching themselves totally independently. They were pushing and challenging each other with some difficult topics and the confidence by which they worked together shows this is a common way they can work and learn off of each other.

Many congratulations Year 7. You are an absolute asset to this school!

Parents join their children to sit in on GCSE English lesson as part of revision prep!

Time-travelling with Y11 parents:
FIS parents joined their sons and daughters as part of our revision and exam prep. They gained a glimpse into the English Language Skills class. Past and present collided as parents revisited their school days, understanding exam techniques, dissecting exam structures, and crafting paragraphs alongside their children.

Southend – Geography field trip

The students enjoyed their day at Southend completing their Geography Field Trip coursework. They investigated whether hard engineering is effective at protecting the coast.
The hypothesis concluded that this was the case at Southend.
They also enjoyed fish and chips by the sea followed by a nice treat.
