MEET THE TEAM | GRACE WILLIAMS
I first started teaching whilst still training myself, when I was 16. I have taught children from ages 5-10 Musical Theatre and Music Theory since 2015, and have loved helping students progress. The first instrument I began playing was the flute at 8 years old, and now 13 years later I play at degree level (BA Actor-Musicianship at Mountview Academy) alongside the Alto Sax and the Cello.
For 10 years I have studied for ABRSM grades, including the grade 5 Music Theory Exam, so I have plenty of experience if achieving a grade on the flute is something you would like to work towards!
I also am very passionate about acting, whether this be monologue work, acting through song or scene work. I taught acting for 2 years for children ages 5-10 at Diverse Performing Arts School, and, as a Musical Theatre lover, love working with students on their Acting Through Song choices. I also know how hard it is for older students when auditioning for drama school - I myself completed a Foundation in Musical Theatre at Guildford School of Acting to develop my audition technique, which helped me achieve my places at Mountview. I therefore would also love to offer my knowledge and feedback to students looking for guidance when auditioning, be it self tape feedback, making choices about material or working through monologues and songs!

1. CHOOSING AN INSTRUMENT
The cooler the instrument is for you, the easier it will be to find the time to work on it. - Steve Wonder
2. SETTING GOALS
I’m always big on goal setting as it truly does make a huge difference in the speed at which someone grows and accomplishes things - Alicia Keys
3. GETTING A TEACHER
I think the most crucial element of mastery will always be mentorship. Learning from someone on a higher level than you will accelerate your growth. I suggest learning from everyone - Elton John
4. PLAY WITH OTHERS
There is no music without other people. Be sure that you are taking time to play/sing with people as good as you or better - Tha Bizness
5. SEEKING HEALTHY COMPETITION
At the core of anyone who has mastered a discipline is some sense of competition. The need to be the best wakes them up, drags them to the gym/woodshed, and compels them to work when they don’t want to. Competition also inspires them to never stop growing. - John Mayer
6. HAVING FUN
This one should be obvious. However, in a world where people value talent over results, it’s easy for some to work hard at trying to be ‘good enough’ to win over their critics. The moment that it isn’t fun for you anymore, you won’t work as hard or as long. Be sure to always figure out new ways to make the experience fresh and exciting.

| Marios Koushappas
My name is Marios and I am an Actor-Musician with training from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. I am a string instrument enthusiast playing multiple instruments from the family such as guitar, electric bass, banjo, mandolin and ukulele and violin while also a few instrument from other families such as the alto saxophone and the drums.
Since a young age I was always intrigued with the infinite power both an actor and a musician can have on stage and thus made it my goal to learn how to unlock it. If you are an actor seeking to muster the text, a musician aiming to be free free and comfortable on stage, or an actor musician aiming to be the best at both I’ll be happy to share with you everything I’ve learned along my way.
