Exciting news for our Scottish friends; Irn-Bru are making a play for the London Market.
A charming fellow (photographed) gave me a free Irn-Bru today in Moorgate yesterday, on my way to visit a Recruitment client.
It got me thinking - how successful has Irn-Bru been before in England, and why will it be different this time?
I tried it; takes somewhere between a Diet Coke and a Red Bull, perhaps it will grow on me.
Calling all Scots - will Irn-Bru make inroads here this time?

Behind the scenes at a Podcast filming with for the episode coming soon…
I went on Hanna’s and Aziza’s podcast to help Job Searchers to make the most of LinkedIn to land jobs.
It was very motivating for me to use my Recruiter and Career Coach experience to help others, this is why I do what I do.
We have big plans in 2025 to help;
1️⃣ More SME companies to grow with the right people.
2️⃣ More candidates to build careers they really want.
Podcast episode ‘dropping’ soon.

‘That’s a great question’ and ‘You’ve hit the nail on the head’.
These are the two most common phrases that people say to me during my Recruitment and Career Coaching work.
Whether I’m talking to an MD about growing their business, or a candidate about improving their career, I ask the right questions to understand each person’s challenge (great question), and then work out what would solve that challenge (nail on head).
So remember this Christmas 🎄, there is hope for 2025 🚀
Rest up, relax, put your feet up, worry no more, your future is safe next year, just slide into my DMs to discuss your challenge, it’s good to talk.

I joined a team who walked across South London in aid of The Listening Place last weekend, starting in Wandsworth and doing various twists and turns to end in Richmond.
The Listening Place provides face-to-face support for people who feel life is no longer worth living.
I am in the process of applying to be a Listening Volunteer at the charity, I often hear the words ‘this feels like a therapy session’ during my recruiting and career coaching conversations, so I thought its time at the ripe old age of 37 to do some volunteering!
The Listening Place do incredible work to help people who really need it, so any donations would be much appreciated;

We decided to really treat ourselves this holiday.
Sophie and I have worked hard this year, so we went all out with our hire car choice.
That’s why we chose this 2016 model of the Kia Picanto.
The dashboard only starts shaking when you get to 3rd or 4th gear.
Yes, the passenger seat window doesn’t work, but on a more positive note all the other windows and boot do work.
It makes all the grafting worthwhile.
Looking forward to upgrading to 5 working doors next year, you’ve got to aim for the moon to land amongst the stars.

The Cafe owner offered an Uber driver a free cookie, whilst he waited.
For mothering sunday, our family of four, (two adults, one toddler and one miniature elephant) went for breakfast at the Joice Cafe in Tooting Bec.
The food was excellent, and the staff were so kind to us that we felt part of the family.
What cemented the experience for us was how the owner treated a delivery driver, who was waiting to pick up an order, showing kindness to them too.
Steve Jobs famously said that Marketing is all about values.
Damian Hughes said on The High Performance Podcast, that your values are your behaviour when no one is watching.
It was clear to us that the cafe owners are great people, and we will definitely be coming back in future.
Important business lessons for us all!

This month we placed our first Spanish-speaking candidate in Mexico. 🇲🇽
We’ve now placed candidates in Mexico, Singapore, Dubai, South Africa, Ireland and the UK, and are always looking for new countries and markets to explore. 🇲🇽 🇸🇬 🇦🇪 🇿🇦 🇮🇪 🇬🇧
This photoshoot was a bit pricey, so we’ll consider using photoshop next time ✈️
Like Taylor Swift, we had a tight schedule to keep but luckily, we too made it in time.
Enjoy a few snaps from our photo album and send over a DM if you’re looking for a globe-trotting recruitment team 🌎 to help your business.
