It’s nearly the summer break for the brilliant Gresham lectures, and our last one was a delve into Music of Dreams and Sleep with our friend Professor Milton Mermikides.
These free lectures have been a real find and our group has embraced them wholeheartedly. Already looking forward to seeing what comes up in the Autumn!

I really enjoyed our group visit to Sadlers Wells Theatre for the Community Engagement session which was focused on Flamenco.
Our wonderful instructor, and talented guitarist, led us through some foot-stamping moves, and flamboyant arm movements, and by the end we were dancing and laughing.

A very tasty lunch today at St Luke’s Community Centre - it was fish and chips Friday, although some had the salmon. Lovely to eat with friends at this brilliant centre in Islington.

What a great quiz last night - with just four points separating all seven teams and a first win for James and Karina. Terrific guesswork and lots of laughs.

Yesterday was hot so we fully deserved our drinks break during our walk - and we have to thank Ros for her very tasty Kumquat and Marmalade swirls (made with puff pastry).

A cracking evening of Flamenco dancing as we caught a 90 minute production of flamboyant dancing, and music. The guitarist was exceptional, as were the main dancers with quick feet and super movements.

Thx so much to Mary Gibbs and Healthy Generations for a terrific walk around Angel and Clerkenwell today, taking in many hotspots including places related to Charles Dickens.

A lovely afternoon weather wise greeted our Kayak and Paddleboard session this afternoon and we had a terrific time.

A very enjoyable and fun Tango session this afternoon as part of the Sadlers Wells Community Engagement Friday events. Our teacher was patient and clear and we managed to get through smiling.

A terrific lunchtime at the London Symphony Orchestra’s music and education centre near to Old Street.
We caught three of the LSO flute players today and the music was gorgeous.
Such a treat to catch accomplished players like this.
