Last week a record-breaking 89 students represented Twickenham School at the annual Richmond Borough Athletics Competition - that's over 10% of the entire school!
Our students were absolutely fantastic throughout the day, demonstrating determination, resilience and outstanding sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of every student who took part and represented the school so brilliantly.
A special congratulations goes to Gabriel, who topped off a fantastic day by winning the Year 8 Discus Event!
What an achievement for the whole team. - Mr Hayes - Head of PE

We rounded off Green Week with Feel Good Friday, as students and staff came to school wearing green to show their support for sustainability and environmental awareness.
It was fantastic to see so many people getting involved and helping to raise awareness of the small actions we can all take to make a positive difference. A brilliant end to a week packed with activities focused on caring for our planet and our community. 🌱✨

As part of Green Week, students and staff were encouraged to think about how they travel to school and, where possible, choose more sustainable methods of transport.
To find out how our community was travelling, we carried out a travel survey at the school gates, gathering valuable information about the different ways students and staff get to school each day.
A great opportunity to raise awareness of sustainable travel and the positive impact small changes can have on our environment. 💚

As part of Green Week, students got their hands dirty for Wildlife Wednesday, helping to plant new flowers and vegetables around the school grounds.
They also installed several bug hotels, creating safe habitats for insects and helping to support local biodiversity. It was fantastic to see students taking an active role in improving our outdoor spaces and learning about the importance of protecting wildlife.
Every flower planted helps make our school a greener, more welcoming place for nature. 💚

As part of Green Week, students rolled up their sleeves for Tidy Up Tuesday, helping to keep our school environment looking its best.
Students took part in litter picking around the site, helped organise outdoor areas and got stuck into weeding and tidying the school garden. It was fantastic to see so many students taking pride in their surroundings and working together to make a positive difference. 💚

Students enjoyed our Meat-Free Monday menu, choosing from a range of delicious plant-based options. It's a great way to support a healthier lifestyle while also helping to reduce our environmental impact.
As part of Green Week, our fantastic canteen team also handed out free samples of courgette and carrot brownies. Safe to say they were a huge hit and proved that sustainable food can be surprisingly delicious! 🍫🥕🥒💚
