Home Reading Success!
We are incredibly proud of one of our Year 3 readers, whose dedication to home reading has been truly outstanding.
She has almost completed her reading record and has shown exceptional consistency throughout the year, adding thoughtful and meaningful comments every single week without fail. Her commitment demonstrates not only a love of reading but also a wonderful habit of reflecting on what she has read.
This is a fantastic example of how regular reading at home can help develop confidence, comprehension and a lifelong enjoyment of books. Well done—you should be very proud of your achievement!
Thank you to all the families who continue to support home reading. Every page turned helps our children grow as readers. 📖

Even though the weather has been very hot, our Reception children have been doing a fantastic job of keeping cool and staying safe in the sunshine! 💦😎From enjoying refreshing activities to making sure they stay hydrated, they have been making the most of the warm weather with lots of smiles and laughter along the way.
📸 Take a look at some of the photos below to see how our Reception children have been keeping cool!

For the final activity of the trip, Year 6 split up one last time to take part in either: axe throwing, fencing or blind trail. You can see that we have some expert axe throwers in the year group. Afterwards, the children enjoyed a packed lunch in the shade before getting on the coach for the journey home.

Year 6 started their last day of the residential with a hearty breakfast! They then cooled off by going giant paddle boarding together. They played games and enjoyed swimming in the cool refreshing lake! After a quick shower and a change the children are ready for their final activities!

Year 6 finished their second day with a a number of games, songs and dances around the camp fire. The children also toasted (or in some cases burned) marshmallows around the fire, whilst playing two truths and a lie. Afterwards, some chose to watch the first half of the England game, whilst the rest were ready for bed after their busy day. They really have had a wonderful day and are looking forward to their final two activities tomorrow.

For the fourth activity of the day, Year 6 groups participated in either rafting or axe throwing. You can see from the pictures that they had a very fun (and wet) experience that I’m sure they will not forget! After that, the children had time to spend their money in the Tuck Shop before heading for a delicious dinner, which included potatoes, ribs, chicken kebabs and sweetcorn. They can’t wait to toast marshmallows at the camp fire tonight!

Following a delicious lunch, which included burgers, chips, salad and more, the children then split up into their groups again for more fun! Two groups went rock climbing and the other group took part in rifle shooting. The children are definitely working up an appetite and cannot wait for dinner tonight!
