And we have to mention the legendary plank competition… an unbelievable effort from everyone, with four junior pupils taking the win! 👏

The Prep department had an amazing time on their trip to Woodcroft Wildspace!

They explored the outdoors through pond dipping and minibeast hunting, observed busy bees at their hives, and studied a variety of leaves and trees. Along the way, they made some exciting discoveries, including newts, tadpoles, water spiders, beetles, bees, ants and woodlice.

It was a wonderful day spent enjoying nature in a beautiful, green setting.

On Friday, our Year 3 - 6 pupils enjoyed a hilarious and engaging performance of ‘French Shipwrecked en France’ by Onatti Productions Ltd.

A fun, fast-paced adventure blending comedy, French language and culture, the play had pupils laughing while learning. With lots of pupil participation, it made languages feel exciting and accessible.

Performed by a native French actor alongside an English actor, and delivered in both French and English, it was perfect for our learners at the start of their French journey.

Our Year 6 pupils had an exciting and informative visit from Transport for London! They learned all about staying safe when travelling around London, understanding public transport, and becoming confident, responsible young travellers.

The session was interactive, engaging, and full of useful tips that will help prepare our pupils for their future journeys to secondary school and beyond. A huge thank you to TfL for delivering such a valuable workshop!

We had a fantastic morning Southgate Leisure Centre for our final annual Swimming Gala, with pupils in years 3-7 diving in and giving it their all. What a splash they made at the pool!

A huge well done to every pupil who took part - you showed incredible enthusiasm, energy, and team spirit from start to finish. We’re so proud of all our swimmers, both in the water and cheering from the poolside.

Congratulations to Green House for an outstanding win with 127 points! 🏆

It wasn’t just the pupils getting involved - our teachers joined the fun too! Pupils, staff, and parents all cheered as Mrs Dodi bravely took the plunge at the end of the gala - what a star!

A big thank you as well to all the parents who supported and cheered from the sidelines.

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils had an unforgettable residential trip to PGL Liddington, packed with adventure, teamwork and plenty of smiles!

From the moment they arrived, excitement was in the air as they settled into their rooms and quickly got stuck into a wide range of activities. Highlights included survival skills, the thrilling giant swing, high ropes and trapeze challenges - where many children showed incredible bravery stepping out of their comfort zones.

Across the week, pupils demonstrated fantastic teamwork while tackling activities such as crate stacking, buggy building, orienteering and sensory trails. Even the rainy weather couldn’t dampen spirits, with water-based challenges, zip wires and lots of laughter keeping everyone energised.

There were also some special moments to remember, including Kyra’s birthday celebration, evening games, a lively disco and the much-anticipated “midnight feast”!

Throughout the trip, the children showed resilience, cooperation and growing confidence. It was a truly rewarding experience filled with new skills, friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Well done, Year 5 and 6 - you were amazing!

A huge thank you to all the PGHS families who donated packs of cotton underwear for our Big Knicker Drive! Anne Nicholls collected the donations today ahead of her trip to Kenya next week, and she was absolutely thrilled by the incredible response.

A special congratulations to Year 9, our winning year group who donated the most! Anne kindly gifted each of them a beautifully hand-sewn cotton wash bag, made by women she works with in Kenya.

Anne also wanted to share that the reusable period pads prepared by Years 7, 8 & 9 during our Founders Day workshops will be taken out to the schools and communities she supports, where local girls and mothers will help complete them. These environmentally friendly pads will make a real difference in communities facing significant hardship.

Huge congratulations to our talented authors and prize-winners in the recent Young Writers Award!

Inspired by a competition introduced by Ms Heald, our Senior School pupils Alexandra, Leen and Isla, took on the challenge of writing a mini-saga of only 100 words, representing an introduction to a bigger story - no easy task!

Their brilliant 100‑word mini stories have been published in the anthology ‘Stranger Sagas’. An amazing achievement - we are very proud of you all!
