Breakthrough Award Nominee | Robyn Elizabeth 🚀

The Breakthrough Award celebrates an individual who has experienced remarkable personal and professional growth, demonstrating one of the most transformative journeys from where they started.

We are delighted to announce Robyn Elizabeth as a nominee for the Breakthrough Award.

Robyn’s journey began as someone with the technical skills to succeed but without the confidence to make her voice heard. A deep fear of judgment often kept her silent in important moments, causing her to miss opportunities and limiting her ability to showcase her true potential.

Everything changed when she made a conscious decision to choose growth over comfort. Rather than allowing fear to dictate her future, Robyn committed to stepping forward, communicating her value, and embracing opportunities that challenged her to be seen and heard.

The results have been transformative. By finding her voice, Robyn accelerated her professional growth, secured a promotion, and built a career trajectory that demonstrates the power of effective communication and visibility. More importantly, she has used her own experience to help others do the same.

Today, Robyn leads the Leadership Communication Group Women’s Programme, supporting and empowering women to overcome self-doubt, embrace their visibility, and unlock new possibilities in their careers and lives.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that breakthroughs often begin the moment we decide to stop hiding our potential and start sharing it with the world.

Congratulations to Robyn Elizabeth on being nominated for the Breakthrough Award.

Breakthrough Award Nominee | Halima Begum 🚀

Some breakthroughs are not measured by titles or achievements alone. They are measured by the courage it takes to keep going when life feels overwhelming.

We are proud to announce Halima Begum as a nominee for the Breakthrough Award.

In 2025, while on sick leave from burnout, Halima made a commitment to herself to invest in her growth. Despite facing physical and mental exhaustion, she showed up week after week, determined to build her confidence and develop her communication skills.

What followed was a remarkable transformation. Through practice, persistence, and a willingness to embrace discomfort, Halima discovered that confidence is not something you wait for. It is something you build.

That growth has opened new doors professionally and personally. Halima secured a new role as an Outreach Events Coordinator with the London Fire Brigade, developed the confidence to advocate for herself, and is now preparing to share her story on the London Fire Brigade podcast. She is also actively pursuing public speaking opportunities, using her experiences to encourage and inspire others.

Perhaps the most powerful part of Halima’s journey is the message at its heart: burnout does not have to be the end of your story. With the right support, environment, and belief in yourself, it is possible to rebuild, grow, and discover strengths you never knew you had.

Today, Halima is not only finding her voice. She is becoming the person her younger self would have looked up to.

Congratulations to Halima Begum on being nominated for the Breakthrough Award.

Voice of the Year Award Nominee | Tendai Annah 🎙️

Some voices do more than inspire. They create space for others to be heard.

We are delighted to announce Tendai Annah as a nominee for the Voice of the Year Award.

Tendai’s journey began with a focus on professional excellence, but along the way she discovered that her greatest strength was not just her expertise. It was her ability to connect with people through authenticity, vulnerability, and storytelling.

By embracing what she calls the Penguin Mindset, Tendai transformed her personal growth into a movement that encourages professionals to be more visible, confident, and unapologetically themselves. Her message has resonated with audiences across the UK and beyond, leading to keynote speaking engagements, university lectures, panel discussions, radio appearances, podcasts, and major industry events.

Beyond her own success, Tendai has dedicated herself to helping others find their voice. Through initiatives such as Penguin Village Huddles and Penguin Wellbeing Walks, she has created welcoming spaces where people can connect, grow, and build a sense of belonging.

Whether speaking from a stage, leading conversations in the workplace, or bringing communities together, Tendai’s impact extends far beyond her own voice. It is reflected in the confidence, connection, and courage she inspires in others.

Congratulations to Tendai Annah on being nominated for the Voice of the Year Award.

Voice of the Year Award Nominee | Romain Muhammad 🎙️

The Voice of the Year Award celebrates a standout communicator who has found and embraced their authentic voice, using it to connect, inspire, and make a lasting impact.

We are proud to announce Romain Muhammad as a nominee for the Voice of the Year Award.

For Romain, finding his voice began with a simple but courageous act: telling the truth. When he published his book, What Are You So Afraid Of?, he stepped into a new chapter of communicating with honesty, conviction, and authenticity.

Since then, Romain has shared his message on stages around the world, delivering keynotes to organisations including NASA, the NHS, Yale, and the BBC. Through his coaching practice, Room to Lead, he helps leaders move beyond performance and communicate from a place of genuine authority.

Romain is known for speaking openly about topics that many shy away from, including identity, race, belonging, and power. His words have helped others find language for experiences they struggled to express, creating conversations that inspire reflection, courage, and change.

Cornerstone Award Nominee | Adebukola Ayoade 🌟

Strong communities are built by people who see a need and choose to do something about it.

In 2020, during the pandemic, Adebukola Ayoade founded Vibrant Midlife Wellness Practice CIC after recognising that many midlife women, particularly Black and Brown women, were being underserved by traditional health systems.

What began as a vision has grown into a thriving community that combines clinical expertise with genuine care. Through free workshops, health conversations, exercise classes, community events, and the annual Vibrant Voices Menopause Summit, Adebukola and her team have created safe spaces where women can access support, build connections, and take charge of their wellbeing.

Over the years, more than 5,000 women have benefited from the community she has built. Many have gained a better understanding of their health, found a supportive network, and accessed life-changing conversations and resources that may otherwise have remained out of reach.

At its heart, Vibrant Midlife Wellness Practice is about more than wellness. It is about belonging, empowerment, and ensuring that no woman has to navigate midlife alone.

Congratulations to Adebukola Ayoade on being nominated for the Cornerstone Award.

Cornerstone Award Nominee | Jay Mawaka 🌟

Sometimes the most powerful change begins with a simple belief: that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not.

Growing up in Zimbabwe as the only child in his neighbourhood with a computer, Jay Mawaka saw firsthand how access can shape futures. While the children around him were just as capable, many never had the chance to develop digital skills simply because they lacked the tools and opportunities.

Determined to close that gap, Jay founded the LeNoir Foundation in 2016. Rather than simply donating equipment, the organisation creates lasting pathways to opportunity through refurbished IT, community libraries, and digital skills training. Today, LeNoir Foundation operates across the UK, Zimbabwe, and Uganda, having trained more than 4,800 learners and built three libraries.

One of Jay’s standout achievements is the coding programme at Ferrars Junior School in Luton, which was featured by Forbes in 2024. The programme demonstrates how access to technology and education can be intentionally created for young people who might otherwise be left behind.

Jay’s impact has also been recognised through a British Citizen Award and a TEDx talk, helping to amplify the message that digital inclusion can transform lives and communities.

Congratulations to Jay Mawaka on being nominated for the Cornerstone Award.

Catalyst Award Nominee | Alexander Flint ✨

Sometimes the most powerful change begins with a single decision to step outside your comfort zone.

When Alexander Flint was asked to host a major town hall event for Coutts and NatWest, he saw an opportunity to develop his communication skills and embrace a challenge that would ultimately transform more than just his own career.

Inspired by his experience, Alexander went on to connect colleagues across the NatWest Group with communication and public speaking development opportunities, helping more than 150 people build confidence, communicate more effectively, and perform at their best.

The results have been remarkable. From promotions and career progression to stronger performance and greater self-belief, Alexander’s commitment to sharing knowledge has created a lasting impact on those around him.

As Alexander puts it, “Don’t gatekeep. Share the love.” His journey is a powerful reminder that when we invest in our own growth and bring others with us, everyone benefits.

Congratulations to Alexander Flint on being nominated for the Catalyst Award.
