Information on ATAS

Applicants requiring a Tier-4 visa may need to apply for an ATAS clearance as part of their admission. If this is the case, ATAS will added as a condition of your entry.

You can apply for ATAS at; https://www.gov.uk/academic-technology-approval-scheme

ATAS are only valid for 6 months, so you should apply for ATAS within 6 months of the start date of your course. You should apply as early as possible and leave at least 4 weeks for your ATAS application to be processed. Please note that undergraduate applicants have a specified ATAS deadline (see undergraduate information above).

Please note that if you change your passport after applying for your ATAS and before submitting your visa application, you will need to reapply for your ATAS as this contains your passport number.

Information on CAS for Tier-4 Visa

Non-UK/EU/EEA Nationals usually require visas to study in the UK (depending on an individual's immigration status). If you require a visa to study in the UK and are studying a course of 6+ months duration, you will need to apply for a Tier-4 general visa. Information can be found at; https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa

In order to apply for a visa, you will require a CAS number to be issued by the College. CAS are only valid for 6 months, so we issue these from April onwards for October start programmes. Your CAS details will be displayed on your student e-service account. We do not issue CAS statements or unconditional offer letters for visa purposes. Your CAS reference number confirms your unconditional status. You should apply for your visa within 3 months of the proposed start date of your course.
