A Photography Walk with Mike Segal
Sunday 5th April 2026 2pm

A walk in the woods with photographer Mike Segal, to see what opportunities there are to capture images of the spring at this wonderful time of year. All types of camera, from camera phones to SLRs welcome. Children welcome with a responsible adult.

Meet at the entrance on Creighton Road opposite the entrance to Fortismere School (nearest to Muswell Hill)

Its that time of year when the wildflower seeds will start their journeys. Please keep dogs (and people!) off the meadows and look forward to hopefully.a spectacular display courtesy of our local schoolchildren.

The loss of a true friend of the Woods.

It was with great sadness we learned that David Bevan has passed away. He was a pragmatic, knowledgeable and passionate champion of the urban woodlands of North London. They would look very different if he hadn’t fought so hard to enhance and preserve their biodiversity. Everyone who enjoys our ancient woodlands owes him a debt of gratitude. Apparently some idiot lit a fire in the woods yesterday afternoon. Please keep your eyes out and report any fires immediately to 999. The fire brigade will come out. Thank you to the person who reported yesterday's fire.
