Have you been trying hard to please people this week? If so, you may have been doing this for some time....Throw in being perfect and well, let's be honest, you're setting yourself an insurmountable task.
These built in drivers are formed in early childhood and are deeply ingrained patterns. Sometimes they work for us, depending on the environment and challenge. On other occasions, they work against us resulting in feeling drained, dissatisfied, disappointed with ourselves and others and generally not in a happy place.
If you recognise any of this, or indeed all of it, you can take heart that it is possible to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. You don't have to do what you've always done. You can chose to do things another way and still be you.
