The light hits you as the warmth envelops you. The ochre walls, each street a different shade of honey. Then the sound, a shutter creaking open, a scooter two lanes over, bells from a church you canāt see yet. Salt and coffee in the air, and underneath it, someoneās sugo already on the stove. You havenāt even unpacked. Youāve already slowed down.
This is what the south does to you. Not somewhere you look at, somewhere that gets under your skin. This is Molise, the stretch of coast nobody told you about, and it feels exactly like this.
Save this for the days you need reminding itās out there, waiting.

An exciting moment for MammaLina!
Thrilled to be featured in Italy š®š¹ Travel š®š¹ Life š®š¹ š
This monthās issue features the cookery school under āItalia! recommends: explore Abruzzo and Molise through local food and culture.ā To see my corner of Italy, Termoli, Molise, and the wild Adriatic coast of Abruzzo, celebrated in print means the world to me.
Itās the part of Italy most travellers never reach, and one even many Italians forget exists. Which is exactly why I take a small group there each autumn for La Dolce Vita, my six-day āUndiscovered Italyā cookery and cultural retreat. This September, a small group of us will be cooking, tasting and living like locals.
Weāre nearly full for 2026. If youāve been longing for an Italy thatās slower, realer and entirely your own, comment or DM me and Iāll send you everything you need to know.
Grazie, Italia! for seeing what I see in this beautiful, undiscovered place.

Dolce far niente, nonna style š
Two of them, every afternoon, same corner of the piazza. A pack of worn cards, a trump slammed down, an argument that isnāt really an argument. No phones. No plans. Nowhere else to be.
Weāve somehow turned doing nothing into something to feel guilty about. My nonna would laugh at us. Here, sitting in the square while the afternoon turns gold is the point. The cards, the gossip, the third coffee nobody needed. This is nonnamaxxing in its purest form: the art of being exactly where you are.

In Termoli every street ends the same way. At the sea. š
You wonāt find Termoli on the Italy postcards. thatās rather the point. This is Molise, the region even Italians forget, and each September I bring a small group home with me to live it, not tour it. Five days on the Adriatic coast, cooking whatās in season, long lunches, and these streets down to the sea.
Donāt see Italy like a tourist. Live it like a local.
A few places left for September. Comment MOLISE, or tap the link in bio to enquire.
