CASTING FOR SHORT FILM
Des Hamilton Casting is a casting company for film and television. At present we are looking for women aged 20-60 with an interesting look to feature a music video that shoots early next year.
The video will feature a variety of people escaping reality by submerging underwater to find some kind of peace. Therefore, you must be able to open your eyes underwater and gaze calmly at the camera for 10 seconds (we strongly advise you try this before submitting yourself as we will be asking for a short clip of yourself doing this).
If you or anyone that you know fits the description and are interested then please email [email protected] with a photo and some details about yourself including your age.
We cannot stress enough;
NO PREVIOUS ACTING EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY
Unfortunately, this a small budget production and so the role is unpaid.
Other projects we have cast in this manner include Channel 4’s ‘Top Boy’ and award winning films such as ‘Four Lions’ ‘This is England’ and ‘Morvern Callar’ where Kathleen McDermott, who we famously street cast went on to win a BAFTA.
For further information please go to www.deshamilton.com
Des Hamilton Casting | Television, Film, Commercial & Music Video Casting Formed in 2001, with offices in London and Glasgow, the company’s first film was Lynne Ramsays ‘Morvern Callar’ where lead actress Kathleen McDermott was famously street cast, (she went on to win the BAFTA for best newcomer).
We are running a Shakespeare and Improvisation Course 18-22 February in London. Course Fees = £345 inclusive of a tour around Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
This acting course aims to inspire students to use Shakespeare’s language with assurance and originality. The themes and meaning of his work are explored through voice and physicality. A variety of texts will be used but students are also encouraged to bring a monologue that they would like to work on.
Improvisation is a useful tool to bring the actors imagination alive and helps us to respond to situations, both real and imagined, with confidence and vigour. Using improvisation around Shakespeare's texts inspires a deeper understanding of his ideas. makes them relevant to today's audiences, and brings truth to your performance.
Classes will take place in our rehearsal rooms.
If you would like to join this course, please e-mail me at: [email protected] and I will send you a Course registration form which should be returned with the full fees by 1st February 2013.
Best wishes,
Sarah Mann
