What an absolute dream job, being part of the artfinishing team for the legendary Trap Jaw. I had the privilege of painting many green face appliances, along with stunt masks.

Getting to apply this makeup alongside the legends and made it even more special.

Here’s a look at the formidable Trap Jaw, played by the awesome . What a joy it was to bring this character to life for .
We spent months sculpting maquette and prototyping different approaches and materials for Sam’s helmet and makeup.
Key sculptor and prosthetic artist sculpted the facial appliances and blocked out the helmet, Patt also applied Sam’s makeup during the shoot with and - it was an incredible team!

Sam was an absolute trooper, not only enduring long application hours of body painting and prosthetics, he had rigorous fight sequences and had just become a new dad, hats off to you Sam, we love you and proud to call you our friend!

Beautiful character makeup by graduate for The Boroughs, from the creators of Stranger Things, on now.

Sweet Edward! Played by the incomparable Ed Begley Jr.
Dept Head Leo wanted to convey a man near the end of his journey on this earth, lost in his mind and in the mystery the Boroughs was hiding. This was a fun character makeup that included a bumped up ‘manic’ version, where everything was dialled up a notch.
Edward is a sympathetic character but also had to appear threatening, so we tried to ride the line between sad and ghoulish. Leo also made some AWESOME tattoo transfers to mimic senile purpua on Edward’s hands - these made applications so fast and looked beautifully natural when layered with the other paint effects.
Having Ed Begley Jr on set was such a treat, it was such an honour to work with him and make him up!
