Calling all year 11 families - Now that the GCSE exams are over, if you have any revision guides that are no longer needed and would be willing to donate, we would be incredibly grateful.
This year, our Year 11 students really benefited from having access to donated revision guides, helping them to revise independently and prepare for their exams.
If you're able to pass on any unwanted revision guides, we'd love to keep this going for future students.
Thank you for your continued support! 🔬📚

THE PROBLEM OF THE WEEK!
Congratulations to the winner of w/b 15th of June
Student Winner: Saskia R. 9.1
Teacher Winner: Ms Nash
Solution to the last week puzzle:
12
From the first column, we see that the common total is 13 + 5 + x = x + 18. For this to be the middle row total the number in the central square needs to be x − 2. Then, for the total of the top-left to bottom-right diagonal to be x + 18, the bottom-right number has to be 7. This means that the top-right number has to be x − 4.
Now, from the bottom-left to top-right diagonal, we have x + (x − 2) + (x − 4) = x + 18. Hence 2x = 24. So x=12.
The new Problem Of The Week is below. Leave your answer with Ms Nash in the library by the end of Friday!

Last week our Year 10 Geography pupils spent two days doing field work outside of the local area. We studied the impact of urban regeneration across Stratford and coastal processes in Walton-on-the-Naze. They worked so well along the coast they were able to have free time to play football on the beach!
